Death By Bagel
NCT Culinary Student!Mark Lee x Fashion Design Student!Reader Summary: Mark makes a cake cause he's realized he can't lose you to some f-boy. Word Count: 3k+ Warnings: Fluff, childhood au, college au, slowish burn, slight cursing, reallllly fluffy, some broksi-dude action, typos sksksksks, etc.
R E Q U E S T my friend: mark lee, slow burn, friends to lovers
A/N: I wrote a fic that already had like 1k+ word then I LOST IT (i think i deleted it) thus this. It took me 10 years to write this msmsmkskskks. PLEASE TUMBLR IS MESSING WITH ME AND MIXED UP THE ORDER OF SOME OF THE DIALOGUE
“As a doctor, I don’t think you should be doing that,” Mark says, not even bothering to look at his patient seated rudely on the floor. Oop, he’s lying down now.
Mark huffs and looks up from the clay block he was molding on his tray, “YOU’RE SO UNPROFESSIONAL!”
Mark’s mother nearly spits out her coffee upon hearing the words of his five-year-old son. Her husband snorts, “He got that from you.”
The woman throws a look at the man and was supposed to give a snarky retort, up until the sound of the doorbell ringing. She grins from ear-to-ear and dashes to get the door.
When she comes back to the living room, she’s accompanies by another woman and a tiny version of her.
“Markie! Say hello to your Auntie!” Mark’s mom calls.
Mark from the carpeted floor looks up and blinks, examining the stranger-woman and its human-ling. Mark turns to his father who was sat on the couch and receives a nod of approval almost. Mark purses his lips and waves at the woman.
The woman waves back and then crouches down to the little girl, “Baby, say hello to Mark.”
Unwilling, she shakes her head.
“Aw come on, baby. Don’t be shy. Mark over there is a really sweet boy. I knew him when he was in his mommy’s tummy, just like Mark’s mom knew you when you were in mine. You’re the same age so you’ll get along just fine.”
With the unnecessary explanation that gave no justification to the scene whatsoever out of the way, the girl was fooled into peeping up, “Hi, Mark.”
“Hello,” Mark says, not particularly interested, as his patient was still in the midst of dying in his office. He turned to his stuffed toy called Mr. Lion and attempted to stand him up once more.
At this point, the girl makes her way to Mark.
“We’ll be back in two hours, honey. Keep an eye on the children,” Mrs. Lee tells his husband who had been occupied with TV the entire time.
“Yeah. I got this,” he smiles to his wife then goes back to watching.
The bumble bee clad figure sat down to Mark in blue and watched him play.
Mark ignored her for a few seconds, needing to assert all efforts on standing that dumb toy up. Once successful, Mark turns to her, “Do you play doctors?”
Mark was then met with the same lack on enthusiasm. She hums, “I like playing baker doctor.”
All at once, Mark gasps, “ME TOO!”
It was unbeknownst to the children it was oddly specific and the chance of this happening was pretty slim.
And in a blink of an eye, excited giggles erupt in the room, as if they had been having so much fun before this scene. It was here and there the two would become best friends to the very end.
... so I guess it means the reckoning is upon us.
“MARK LEE I SWEAR TO THE FU--” “WHAT! WHAT!?” Mark laughs.
"YOU ATE MY BAGEL! AGAIN!" I growl in a loud whisper, throwing the wrapper at him and his flat head before he could think to dodge it while he annoyingly laughs.
"I asked if I could have it though!" he says, fully knowing his sins.
I glared at him and say lowly, "I thought you were referring to my notes, bread for brains."
Mark snorts loud enough for our teacher to wake up from his nap. Once the class notices, we all pretend to be doing something productive and Mark plays it off with a cough.
"Mr. Lee." Mr. Kim says sternly, clicking his tongue, blinking his eyes rapidly.
Mark finishes coughing and turns to our seated professor, "Yes sir."
"Don't go to school if you're sick and going to cause a racket with your coughing."
Mark nods firmly and Mr. Kim closes his eyes again, mumbling, "page 65 is due tomorrow."
The entire class grumbles. Mark beside me scoffs and makes a face, "Yeah, yeah, Doyoung."
I turn to him and elbow his side.
"Whatever," Mark shakes his head, "professor bunny-teeth won't hear me."
Once class ended, we both get our things and head out for lunch. We walk to our canteen, fussing over assignments, deciding we should do it together later in our mutually free period.
I groan and narow your eyes at him as we have an argument over how he hasn't finished the essay for English, "That's not the point."
"Yo Mark!" a voice calls from afar. Mark and I turn, looking for the voice, and I spot the dimpled senior, Jung Jaehyun, in a table with the rest of his squad.
I nudge Mark and point at the pale guy seated by the corner.
Mark throws him a smile and waves. I follow closely behind him as he walks over to the table. "We're going to sit with them?" I say in some sort of gasp.
"Yeah." Mark replies simply, not bothering to turn to me, "they're cool."
I knit my brows at that and nod, "Yeah I know. But I'm not cute today."
Mark stops in his tracks and throws me a confused look, "what?"
"I didn't put any make-up on today, also I'm pretty sure there's a visible stain somewhere on my jacket, I just don't remember where."
Mark scrunches his face up again, even more confused. "What? How do you... forget a stai-- that's not the point. Why do you wanna look cute today?" He scoffs and continues lowly, "hardly as if you ever look cute."
I let out an annoyed groan and punch Mark's shoulder. "Like when you panicked when Seulgi came over and asked for notes."
Mark openes his mouth, "That is so not the same! Jaehyun's a fuck bo-"
"Just shut up already," I snap and shove him forward so he'd continue walking. "Let's not keep him waiting," I add and mumble, "also I know. Dong Sicheng however is very cute."
Mark chuckles, "he's dated every girl on the dance team."
"Okay, maybe not that cute."
"Ya, Mark," Jaehyun grins and greets the said person with a high-five and chest bump. He turns to me and speaks my name with a smile. I smile back politely and wave.
I'm about to sit next to Sicheng, but Mark shoves me and so I end up sitting on the other side of the bench table with Jaehyun. I turn to Jaehyun with a small, non-awkward smile and shoot Mark a glare. He seems unbothered though.
"So, you up for a round later?" Jaehyun asks Mark.
Mark talks over me, "you know it, dude."
Jaehyun flashes his dimple smile all the stupid girls fall for. I'm only half falling for it cause I'm only half stupid. He raises his brows, "you bought the dough, right?"
This makes me knit my brows.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I really did this time," Mark mumbles quickly. "It's my turn anyway."
Jaehyun gives an off look, "that's literally what you said last time bro."
"Yo, no for real. It's in my bag, if you wanna check."
Jaehyun shakes his head when Mark begins to scramble for it, "no, Lee, it's good. We wouldn't want you friend to get dirty."
Is it just me or do you feel slimey all of a sudden?
Jaehyun then gives me a somewhat, somehow sincere smile, "so. I hear you're in fashion design."
I give a soft chuckle, "yeah. That's me."
"I could tell from a mile away. Mark looks horrible next to your getup."
I look down at my sweater and ripped jeans. Mark exclaims in protest, "shut the hell up, Jae."
I give a soft smile at Jaehyun, "don't know where that comes from but thanks I guess."
Jaehyun chuckles, "I'm kidding," he eyes Mark, "I saw your Fashion Design pin on your bag when you sat down."
"Oooohhhh, haha, okay, that makes sense."
"Ya, Jeff," Sicheng calls for Jaehyun, "it's almost time."
Jaehyun turns to his friend and nods. He turns back to me and Mark, "well, it's nice to meet you. Mark won't put a sock in it even if I beg. See you around, fashionista."
He stands and slaps Mark's back, "see ya later, broski."
"Yeah, bruh," Mark replies.
Once it's just Mark and I, I snap at him and blurt out in a whisper yell, "YOU'RE ON BROSKI LEVEL WITH JUNG JAEHYUN?!"
Mark gives me a weird face, "bruh, I think he calls the principal broski, for real."
I smack Mark, making him whine, "you know what I'm talking about, Mark! And what, are you doing drugs?!?"
He shakes his head in confusion, "Wait, what!? Who the hell told you that?"
"Uhhhhh you were talking about dough and showing up later. Sounds like you owe him money for drugs, Mark."
"??? In what universe did we even mention drugs?? Does this," he slaps his face, "look like a face of a drug addict to you?"
"A gullible idiot maybe."
Mark's jaw drops, "oh wow, okay. I'm done with this conversation." He proceeds to stand attempt to walk away. I scoff, "not on my watch bitch."
Like the true idiot that he is, Mark begins to legit run away from me, like a criminal who stole my cookies. It's embarrassing that he, a man much taller than I, could not even outrun me. I suppose I should be grateful, but this just fortifies my thoughts of him being an idiot even more.
But okay... I wasn't actually expecting this... like... Mark and Jaehyun... like... actually baking bread after school with dough Mark premade at home. Also, uh, Jaehyun looks super cute in an apron that I'm having a mental breakdown. And what's new, so does Mark.
"I can't believe you thought I was a drug dealer," Jaehyun says in a soft pout as he rolls out dough on the marble counter of his friggin large kitchen in his friggin large house. Like dang, I knew he was rich, but he's like Rich™ Rich. Rich with a golden diamond encrusted Rolex watch rich that's in a glass display rich-- wtf.
Mark wheezes in his telltale high pitched laugh as he opens a pack of unsweetened chocolate pellets, "she thought dough was some sort of metaphor or something."
"Cute," they say at the same time. Mark turns to Jaehyun in slight surprise and Jaehyun turns to me. I roll my eyes, though I feel my neck burn. I avert my attention to the scene I was sketching on my pad, Jaehyun and Mark baking croissants. I clear my throat, "I'm just making use of the single braincell between us, cause if he doesn't die falling down the stairs, he's gonna pull some idiotic stuff like baking with Jung Jaehyun."
Oddly, it's Mark that reacts to that with a, "hey!"
Jaehyun rubs his chin on his shoulder, "I also can't believe you think so little of me.'
I break a sweat but decide to answer honestly, "... ... ... You have a reputation."
"Of being a fuck boy?"
Mark loudly transfers the chocolates into a metal bowl, making the two of us snap at him. Mark makes a face, "oh gosh, sorry."
Jaehyun sighs, "well. I admit I get around, but that's only because I get dumped every time."
I raise a brow.
Jaehyun purses his lips, "nah, let's not make this weird. The croissants will be flat."
"Dude," Mark turns to him, "that's literally only because you messed up the recipe."
Jaehyun grits his teeth, "no. It's because Kun's a little teacher's pet and sabotaged me so he could get the best grade."
"No, but like Kun is really nice, he helped me with the fold techinique."
Jaehyun scoffs, "He stole me vanilla extract, Mark. Who does that?!"
"No, listen, he's cool, like, for real--"
"No, you listen, he's a little shit and--"
The two begin to bicker like a married couple, and I begin to draw inspiration form the scene to design some random sketches of wedding dresses.
I look back to the two and still can't get over the fact that I learned Jaehyun was a culinary arts major with my best friend, and that I was currently in the Jung's boojie home because I thought Mark was buying drugs from him. Not what I was expecting at all my day to go like, but I'm not mad this is how it went.
"No, no, no, no," Jaehyun says. He turns to me and points, "let's just get an outside opinion. Babe, what's your favorite color?"
"BABE?!" Mark barks.
I take a moment to reply. I blink slowly, "uhh... pink?"
Jaehyun bites his lower lip and claps his flour covered hands, "Right. Pink croissants it is."
Mark shoots him a glare and turns to me, back to Jaehyun, "she has a name."
Jaehyun nods, "yeah, and she wants pink croissants."
Mark makes a face and Jaehyun examines it, chuckling under his breath. "Wah, you two are something, huh."
No one really responds.
We began to always eat lunch with Jaehyun and his friends. It's funny cause I realized Jaehyun, although I still firmly believed he was out to get nasty with every other girl he sees, he was actually just like Mark. A total loser with a love for cooking.
"Hey," Mark says with a snippy tone.
I give him a look and suddenly receive a paper bag to my face. Mark sits on his chair next to me, as per usual. I smell the thing before I realize what it is. It's a freshly baked bagel. I perk up and smile, "Aw, you baked me a bagel?"
Mark raises his upper lip, "no. Jaehyun did."
I knit my brows, "what? Why?"
Mark narrows his brows, "do you, like, like him?"
I give him a look. I take a bite of the bagel, making Mark look at me in disbelief. I answer, "You do know I only hang with him cause you do, right?"
"Then why'd you eat the bagel then?"
"Uh, a number of reasons. 1) it's a bagel, 2) free food, 3) I'm starving, 4) it smells amazingggg."
Mark does a face, "fair. I've been meaning to ask how he does his seasoning for a while now too." He releases a breath, "and anyway, I'm pretty sure he made a bagel cause I told him you liked them. Never talking about you to him anymore though."
I look at him, "why do you talk about me so much to him anyway?"
"Uh because you're amazing," Mark says instinctively.
I feel my heart skip at that. I coo and place my hands on my chest, "wait that's really sweet."
Mark looks at me. His face begin to shift, "too bad it's a lie- haha."
I give him a look and rebut, "jerk."
"Loser."
As quickly as I found out about Jaehyun being Mark's friend, that's about as quickly as I found out he didn't like hanging out with him anymore. It's kind of a shame I never got to go back to his boojie house.
There was this one encounter I had with Jaehyun though... which was a little weird, not gonna lie.
He was waiting for me outside my Tailoring class, smiling and waving when he saw me. I Reluctantly reciprocated and walked over to him.
He releases a breath, "I've been waiting for about 20 minutes for you. I didn't know when your class would end."
I raise my brows, "you could have asked?"
"Well I would need your number for that, and that would have ruined the surprise," he pulled out a brown paper bag, reminiscing the same one Mark chucked at my face.
"I made you two this time," he smiles.
I take a moment to reply, "you don't have to make me bagels, Jaehyun."
He grabs my hand, "yeah, but I want something out of ya," he places the bagels in my hand. He proceeds to lead us off and we begin to walk down the hall.
Truth be told, it's a little scary that his ulterior motive is up in the air. Jaehyun places his hands in his pockets, "I like your dress, by the way."
I smile, "thanks. I made it."
He smiles and nods, "right. That makes sense as to why it suits you well."
I can't help but blush at that, and simultaneously feel conscious when I realize a bunch of girls in my course are looking at me and Jaehyun as we strut down the hall.
"So, what did you want, Jaehyun?"
"Well, I clearly wanted to ask you out."
"..."
"..."
Jaehyun smiles and give a soft laugh, "is it so ground breaking?"
"... Uh..."
He sniggers, "hey, you can say no. I mean I hope you don't but you can." Jaehyun leans in and raises his hands, "I won't like it, but a man should take rejection from a lady well."
I turn to him as he straightens up. I turn to the bagels he made me and bring it back to him. He laughs, "no, I made them for you really. It's not poisoned, in fact it's made with love."
I visibly react to that, which makes Jaehyun wheeze. I can't help but laugh back, "that was hella tacky."
"Worth a shot though," he says. "Good luck with Mark."
I look at him with silence and he chuckles, "ya, you can't fool me."
I'm about to retort but then Jaehyun gets called by one of the frats dudes I identify as Johnny Seo. Jaehyun does a curtsy and clicks his tongue, "see ya later babez."
"You know, I would have said yes if you didn't do stuff like that."
Jaehyun purses his lips, "no you wouldn't."
I shrug, "worth a shot though."
Jaehyun places a hand on his chest, dramatically calling, "Uh, rejection hurts, man."
Yeah, I never went to Jaehyun's boojie house ever again.
Silver lining though was Mark's dorm smelled equally as nice because of all the food he cooks, although it came with a whiff of axe body spray from his roommate, Lucas. It's cool though, he was almost never around for me to smell it in its whole intensity.
"Aite," Mark calls from his side of the dorm. I perk up from the two seater dining table they had and turn to Mark who was covering the cake he was making for his finals.
"Don't, like, peek, okay. I want you to see the cake all at once and give me your honest reaction to it. Please, like, all my lives kinda depend on it."
"How many lives do you have?"
"9, I'm pretty sure."
I stand from my seat, "not you faking your life as a cat, but get it I guess."
Mark raises a hand at me as I walk over, "can you not, I'm high-key panicking right now."
"Over what? You literally made a box of donuts for your midterms and it looked better than Misty Mreme! I'm sure your cake is hot."
"It was in the minifridge for a day. I mean it barely fit cause of all of Lucas' mountain dew."
I groan, "just show me it, Mark Lee!"
Mark whined and dashes over to me, grabbing my shoulders, "okay, but like, don't be mean about it. I swear, I might cry."
I give a sound and fake cough, "it's ugly."
Mark doesn't respond to that particular jab, "I'm serioussss. Please be kind, okay?"
I look at Mark's nervous face and give a soft pout, "Markie, please, not that I think it would be ugly, but I promise you don't have to be nervous about my reaction."
He isn't soothed by that, but he does release a sigh, "okay. So for context, Mr. Moon wanted the cake to be one or two tiers, but I went with one, cause there aint no way I'm going to the other side of the campus to freeze a two tiered cake. Then, the theme was something from your childhood, so, I, uh, thought this was fitting. The exam is 60 percent decoration, 40 percent taste by the way."
Mark gives me a hesitant look, but steps way for me to see it. I then see a heart shaped, medium sized cake in my favorite pastel pink color. By the top there's a little boy on the floor playing with a toy oven set and little girl in a bumble bee dress, holding a stethoscope. At the bottom of the cake, there were jelly letters spelling out, "I like you."
I cup my cheeks at the sight of it and feel my eyes start to well at the sentiment.
Wait... was this really happening?
Mark heaves in and out, "okay, so like when Jaehyun began to like hit on you, that sucked pretty hard because he's known for getting girls and I thought maybe he'd get you too and I got panicky. Anyway, I....... have liked you since we were kids... And... I know you probably don't feel the same way but I have to try, you know.... Yolo."
My feel my tears retract from what I hear. I rub my eyes. I turn to Mark and find his nervous face. "Did you just say yolo in your confession, Mark?"
He looks like he's about to throw up.
I can't help but chuckle and pout, "dude..."
I prolong the moment. Mark gets even more nervous as he repeats softly, "dude..."
"We could have dated in grade school all this time."
It takes a moment to register in his head.
Like, a really long moment.
I sigh, "Mark! I like you too, dummy."
He freezes and blinks. His face begins to burn. He breaks into a soft smile, "nice."
I break into a laugh.
"... Uh... So... Can I like... Kiss you?"
I snort and feel my own cheeks begin to burn, "I think you should refrigerate your cake first."
Mark snaps out of this trance, "oh shoot, you-" I give him a quick peck on the lips.
He is dumbfounded.
I feel butterflies go wild in my stomach.
"I'll wait over there for when you've fixed that."
Mark watches as I walk away, "yooo.... That's not fair though."

~---~---~---~---~
There was a week left until your second semester began. Isaac was determined to thank you for everything you had done for him since he told you about his dad.
He enlisted Stiles and a reluctant Lydia to help him with the planning. Isaac was going to make a picnic basket with your favorite foods. After that, Stiles would drive him to Lookout Point, and Lydia would take you there right after he gave her the go-ahead to let her know it was ok to leave.
Lydia would take you to the mall so that Isaac could prepare the picnic basket. He had bought assorted fruits, a platter of ham and cheese pinwheels, passion-fruit fruit champagne, your favorite desserts, and your favorite chips. He packed a picnic blanket as well as two smaller ones so that you both could lay under the stars and watch them dance.
After everything was packed, Stiles drove him to the point in the woods, and two miles away from his destination, he called Lydia and gave her the signal.
When he reached the peak, before he could do anything, Stiles scolded him.
"Hey scarf," he barked. Isaac turned his head.
"Don't try anything with my sister tonight, alright? You may not be in the house, but I will still be watching everything?"
Isaac paused. "Aren't you going back to Scott's house?"
"I have eyes everywhere, Lahey," he stated simply before waltzing away.
~---~---~---~---~
When you arrived, Isaac had everything set up, the picnic cloth was laid down on a flat chunk, the colorful plastic champagne glasses he had bought were carefully placed down on top of the plates,
When you arrived, Isaac had already laid everything out. The picnic blanket was spread out on a flat chunk of land, and the ceramic plates sat on top of it. There was a bundle of spoons and forks, knives, and colorful plastic champagne glasses for the both of you.
"I-saac, haha," you chuckled.
He bowed. "Good evening, madame. How can I serve you today?" He walked over to you and led you to the setting.
"Isaac, you didn't have to do all this, you know?"
"I know, but you've done so much for me recently, and I wanted to thank you."
You looked at him fondly, and he stared back at you before breaking away to grab the fruit. He fed you a strawberry, and after that, you both took turns tossing berries into the air and trying to catch them.
~---~---~---~---~
After you both were done eating, Isaac packed all the remaining food (which was a lot) into the basket and tossed you a cover. He pulled you closer to him once you were wrapped in the blanket and laid down to watch the stars with his favorite person in the world.
"That's Orion's belt, right there," you thought out loud.
"That's the big dipper then,"
"How do you know so many constellations?" Isaac questioned, and you frowned.
"I- uh…"
"What's wrong?" He looked at you with worry.
"It was something me and my mom did before she died. She would go out to the woods with me—" you paused."—and she would show me where all the stars were. Stiles was never interested. My obsession with finding the stars became so big she decided to get me a telescope and a big book of all the constellations."
"Oh, so I'm guessing it's a touchy subject?"
You laughed. "It's a subject that brings up memories. To be honest, I haven't tried stargazing since my mom's death. This was nice."
"You never told me much about your mom…"
"And you never told me about yours," you hit back.
"Touché."
You went first. "Before everything, my mom was…in all aspects… perfect. Every day when we came home from school, she would have lunch ready, even if we already ate, just some chips and cookies on the table for Stiles and me."
You smiled. "Mom would take us outside to the backyard and play soccer with us, us two against her. I think she would go easy on us."
"When she got diagnosed, she started becoming less… tolerant of us. She would yell for the tiniest things, and they didn't hurt me as much because Dad would always remind us that she didn't mean it, but I guess it always hurt Stiles more—"
"How do you mean?" Isaac asked.
"He was always a mommy's boy. One night we went to visit her at the hospital, I went to the vending machine to get snacks for Stiles and me, and he was gone. When he came back, he was crying nonstop. I kept trying to get him to tell me what was wrong, but he wouldn't tell me. The next day it was like he just forgot about it."
You both sat there in silence for a while longer.
"My mom…. My mom was always working. She had her own business making soaps and perfumes and stuff like that."
"She would always ask—" he gulped. "—she would ask my brother and me to help her with her orders. We would always make a mess, so after we were done, she made bubble baths for us." He giggled at the memory. "When she died, I guess we all changed a bit."
"I got a little shier, Camden got more impulsive, Dad just lost his filter. He put more effort into making sure we were disciplined." He saw your eyes squint. "He didn't hit us back then. He just had stricter rules."
You pulled him closer to your chest, and you guys just stayed there, looking at the stars, and feeling, even more, closer to each other than before.
You broke the silence.
"Isaac…"
"Yes, Y/N?"
"I love you…"
He leaned down to your face and pecked your lips.
"I love you too," he smiled.
~---~---~---~---~
"Y/n!" Isaac was trying to wake you up. You had fallen asleep watching Nightmare on Elm Street. You had been desensitized to all the blood and gore because you and stiles would always stay up late and watch slasher films. This was when your dad worked extra shifts at the Sheriff's station, and your mom was at the hospital.
"N/n, Wake up!"
He grabbed your ringing phone and pulled it up to your ear, despite knowing he would face your wrath for doing that later on. Stiles had just called you for the 4th time that night, and you weren't waking up.
When you still wouldn't wake up, he did the only thing he could think of, as illogical as it was. He laid down flat on his back and rolled over, pushing you off the bed. You woke with a start.
"ISAAC, WHAT THE HELL!!"
"Stiles has called you 4 times in 5 minutes, and you told me to wake you up whenever someone calls you…" He fake-pouted.
Your expression softened because you couldn't resist his cobalt eyes, but you were still angry. You answered the phone and shouted at Stiles to release your frustration.
"Stiles, what the hell, you're across the hall. Did you really have to call?"
"Hurry up and get ready, Dad just went out, and we need to go get Scott."
"Why do we have to follow dad? It's his job."
"Someone found a dead body, but half of it is missing,"
"Ok, I'm coming," You said while putting on your jeans.
"Oh, and leave the golden retriever."
"His name is Isaac, not 'golden retriever,' Stiles!" you scolded.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, hurry up!"
You finished putting on Isaac's hoodie and turned to face him.
"I gotta go, love."
He pouted. "Why can't I go with you?"
You went to give him a hug. "We should go with the least amount of people possible., so we don't get caught…" you lied.
"Is Scott going?" He was always able to tell when you were lying. He knew all your tells and your poker face before you were even dating.
"Fine, It's Stiles."
"So, I realized. Do I really look like a golden retriever?"
You shrugged and said in a pitchy voice, "An adorable golden retriever?"
He sighed.
"Be safe, and come back before midnight, please? I don't wanna go to sleep without you…"
"Nervous for tomorrow?"
"It's the start of first-line tryouts. I really wanna make it this year,"
"I'm sure that you'll make it Isaac, you are one of the most hand-eye coordinated people I know, and at every game, I will be there to cheer you guys on!"
He smiled at your statement and kissed you.
"Be sa—"
"Y/N, Hurry up!" Stiles shouted from downstairs.
~---~---~---~---~
You stayed in the car while Stiles was getting Scott, silently cursing him for not allowing Isaac to come but going to get Scott.
Scott and Stiles got out of the house and piled into the car.
"Next time you wanna leave the 'golden retriever,' Stiles, we're also leaving the poodle," you angrily intoned.
Scott took up an offended expression. "Poodle?"
"Would you rather chihuahua?"
"Nevermind..."
"No, we're not leaving Scott. He's my best friend," Stiles said defensively.
"Oh yeah? Isaac is my boyfriend, yet he couldn't come!"
"My car, my choice of guests."
"Fuck off, Miechyvslaw!"
~---~---~---~---~
"We're seriously doing this?"
"Obviously," you stated simply.
He started driving the car, and they headed to the woods where the search party for the body and the other half of it would be located.
"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town," Stiles said.
"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow."
"Right, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort," Stiles sassed.
"No, because I'm playing this year. In fact, I'm making the first line."
"Hey, that's the spirit. Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one."
You interrupted their bickering. "Just out of curiosity, do either of you know what half of the body we're even looking for?"
"Uhhh-" Stiles stuttered.
"And uh- what if whoever killed the body is still out there," Scott questioned.
"Also, something I did not think about."
"It's comforting to know that you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail," Scott stated.
Stiles and Scott continued bickering, but soon, you saw a flashlight.
"Shit! Hide!" you warned, but Stiles kept going. You leaped forward, trying to grab his shirt and pull him back, but your dad caught you.
"Hang on. Hang on. These two delinquents belong to me."
Stiles sighed.
"I told you to hide, you brat!" you whispered to him.
"Daaaaad!" He enunciated. "How are you doing?"
"So, do you, uh, listen into all my phone calls?"
"Not the boring ones," Stiles said.
"So, where's your usual partner in crime?"
"Wh-who Scott? Scott's home, he said before continuing to ramble.
Your dad had called out for Scott, and when he didn't respond, dragged you and Stiles back to the Jeep.
~---~---~---~---~
You went back to your room once you got to the house and found Isaac asleep on the bed.
"Izzie!" You grabbed a plush pillow from beside him and whacked him softly with it.
You went home that night, not knowing where Scott was or what had happened to him while worrying about what Melissa would do to you if Scott got bitten by a coyote and she found out you lured him out there.
He stirred but didn't wake. You groaned and moved beside him.
"Isaac?" you shrilled. "Isaac, you were supposed to wait for me to come back!!"
You shook his body left and right until he woke up groggily.
"N/n?"
He fully opened his eyes and groaned at the comfort that it was you.
"You scared me!" he complained.
You began shuffling towards him and running your hands down his covered pectorals. "Aww… what can I do to make you feel better?"
"Anything?" he said before sucking in a breath.
"Anything, baby," You nodded.
He pulled you onto his lap and started kissing you passionately, your lips meshing together. He trailed his lips from yours to your cheekbones, then to your jawline, nibbling slightly. You moved your hips forcefully against his, and he brought one hand down to your waist.
"Hey, is this ok?"
You nodded vehemently.
He pushed your hips back and forth along his while leaving dark red marks towards the base of your neck and your collarbone. He sucked a hickey onto a pulse point, making you let out a moan, which you tried muffling by pressing your lips together.
He brought his hands to the hem of your shirt and tugged slightly before looking up at you. You replaced his hands and pulled your shirt off of your torso.
He placed open-mouthed kisses onto the tops of your breasts, causing you to throw your head back in delight. He brought his hand back to the small of your back and shuffled you forwards on his lap.
He turned you over onto your back and continued to kiss from your chest up. He stood on his knees in front of you and pulled his shirt off of his body. He placed one more brief kiss on your lips before gripping your thighs and lowering down your body.
~---~---~---~---~
Stiles drove you, Isaac, and Scott to school the next day. When you got out of the car, Scott and Stiles were talking about a bite that Scott had gotten when he went to the woods, but he assured you that you wouldn't face Melissa's wrath.
When you saw Lydia amongst the crowd, you dragged Isaac all the way to her. Lydia had never liked Isaac, feeling like her best friend could do much better than someone who wouldn't even talk to her(you) for extensive periods of time.
"Hey Lyds!" you said with Isaac's face buried in your neck. He was not fond of Lydia either, not that she had done anything, but he had picked up on her apathy towards him and just decided he would do the same.
"Hey Y/N! Isaac." You all walked into the building and headed for your respective classes.
~---~---~---~---~
You had English first, and the teacher was rambling about the dead body found in the woods.
A familiar faced walked into the room, and you almost squealed. It was your godsister, Allison Argent. You knew that her family was moving to Beacon Hills, but you hadn't known when they would be arriving.
Chris Argent, Allison's dad, was your mother's best friend in high school. When she gave birth to you and Stiles, she made Chris your godfather.
You quietly clapped your hands at her appearance. She smiled at you before taking the seat diagonally across from you and right behind Scott. You noticed how when he turned around to give her a pencil, he looked highly flustered.
Before you could point this out and tease him about it, your teacher began to talk about the novel you were reading as a class.
~---~---~---~---~
When you got out of class, you decided to introduce Lydia to Allison.
When you both approached Allison, she squealed and ran to give you a hug, almost causing you to stumble. You hugged her back for a good five seconds before letting her go.
"That jacket is absolutely killer! Where'd you get it?" Lydia asked the brunette.
"My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco."
"And, you are my new best friend!" Lydia said before greeting her boyfriend, Jackson, who had come up behind her.
"Hey? What about me? Already replacing me with my godsister?" you asked before you felt two slender arms wrap around your waist.
"Never!" Lydia smiled. "We can all be friends."
You could hear a girl talking about Lydia or Allison or both, and you decided you would defend your friends.
You walked over to where she was talking to Stiles and Scott.
"Hey, what's going on over here?"
"Oh, Audrey here was asking what Allison did to already be hanging out with your exclusive clique."
"Uh, nothing? She's just Allison." You said, looking at Scott and Stiles but directing it towards Aubrey. You then turned on your heels and walked away.
You had found that your friends had told Allison about the upcoming party and were just about to head to the lacrosse practice for the day.
~---~---~---~---~
You gave Isaac a good luck kiss before he went out to the field, and Lydia looked at you weirdly.
"What is it?" you asked, rolling your eyes.
"Nothing, Nothing."
"Why do you have such a problem with my boyfriend?"
She turned to look at you. "I don't know, maybe it's because you caught feelings when he hadn't said a single word to you for a week and didn't for another week after you first kissed him"
"It could be that when you asked him out and actually confessed your feelings, he waited a week to give you a response and made you think that he was rejecting you, which made you cry?"
You rubbed your temples. "Lydia, I explained all this to you. He's a shy guy. He just doesn't talk much to people, and he thought I was playing a joke on him."
She shook her head. "Mark my words, Y/N, he's going to end up breaking your heart, and when he does, I'll be left to pick up the pieces."
You groaned. "Allison, does Isaac look like someone who would hurt me?"
"No? He looks like… He looks like a golden retriever!"
The three of you burst out laughing, and Lydia promised to try and be tolerant of Isaac.
Suddenly, it was Scott's turn to try guarding the goal. He allowed the first shot through before finding his footing and blocking the rest of the throws.
"Who is that?" Your godsister asked.
"Hmm… I'm not sure who he is," Lydia said questioningly.
You scoffed. "That is Scott McCall. Stiles' best friend. Why?"
"He's in our English class. He seems like he's pretty good," she said sagely.
She changed the subject. "Speaking of Stiles, how is he? I haven't talked to him since I got back."
"He's-" you tried answering but stopped short. "Wooh! Go, Isaac!"
He smiled at you before going to shoot lacrosse balls at the goalie.
On the final day of tryouts, you and Isaac had done stretches, though he didn't know why, and they had run laps around the field before practice had started.
The coach started talking to the players, and you, Lydia, and Allison sat in the stands. By the time practice was over, Scott had made the first line, but Stiles and Isaac didn't. To cheer them up, you had taken them to their favorite to-go restaurant and bought dessert for them.
~---~---~---~---~
It was a Friday night. You were particularly sad, not only because Isaac couldn't go with you, but because Isaac had his weekly dinner with his dad today. So, he wouldn't even be there when you fell asleep.
Scott and Stiles had gotten into a fight earlier, so he wasn't going to the party. This left Jackson to drive you, who was taking Lydia to the party. This didn't make you too happy, seeing as how Jackson was a self-entitled bastard who got his status from his family and isn't grateful for any of it.
You didn't understand how Lydia had decided it would be a good idea to date him. But, you knew that the same way she couldn't change your mind about Isaac, she wouldn't change your mind about Jackson.
You wore a pink satin body-con dress that reached your mid-thigh. Isaac had picked it out for you when he realized he wouldn't have been able to attend the party. He was ok with it being as short because he knew all the guys there would remember what happened to Garrett Ferrero after he started hitting on you at a party. He had to get nose surgery because Isaac had broken it, and his nose swelled up so large, he didn't come to school until it shrunk.
You paired it with opaque tights with fishnets on top and a pair of red, 3-inch, cut-out heels. As for makeup, you had outlined your lips with a black lip liner and smeared a cherry red lipstick over it. You applied minimal foundation and went for a nude eyeshadow look.
When you stepped out of the bathroom in your outfit, Isaac nearly went feral. He lightly kissed the expanse of your neck, knowing you would kill him if he messed up your makeup, and he ended up backing you both into a wall.
You had to swat him away after a few seconds of this affair because you had to leave soon, and so did he, albeit reluctantly. You put a black jean jacket on top of your outfit before heading downstairs.
He left your house a few minutes before you did, but just before you left, Stiles pulled you aside.
"Hey, Y/N, just watch out for Scott today, and especially Allison." Stiles was overprotective of both of you. Before Allison and her family began moving around, she was like a sister to both of you. You three did almost everything together.
"Stiles, what's going on?"
He sighed. "Ok, this is going to be hard to explain, but you have to go. So I'm going to give you the brief version right now and explain later."
You nodded, beckoning him to continue.
"The night Scott got bit by that 'coyote'... it wasn't a coyote. It was a wolf, and wolf hairs were reported on the autopsy of the dead body. Scott has been experiencing heightened senses, and he's been stronger. Y/N, he hasn't needed his inhaler all week."
Your eyes widened. You didn't know what to say.
"So… you think he's a werewolf."
"Better to be safe and absurd than sorry and sad. Tonight's a full moon, and he just wouldn't cancel that date. Just look out for them, you know?"
You bobbed your head up and down vigorously.
You left the house, and outside were Jackson and Lydia, in the front seat of his Porsche. It was a nice ride but a bit overly embellished for someone who only just got his license.
~---~---~---~---~
Later at the party, you had last seen Allison and Scott as they were dancing. You were dancing with your friend, Marya Cullen. She was a freshman, so she didn't really know most of your other friends. You had met her through your job at Forever 21, and you instantly clicked.
She was really drunk, so you called another one of her friends and asked them to take her home. Marya had given her friends a list of the people allowed to drive her home if this happened.
It was just as you were putting Marya in the backseat, you saw Scott walking away from her, dazed. While that happened, a mysterious guy who looked much older than you were approaching Allison.
"Hey, I'm her friend. I got it, thanks!"
You walked with Allison back to her house after grabbing all your belongings and immersed in conversation, mostly about how weird Stiles was being. Stiles was driving in his Jeep when he saw you coming from Allison's house. You got into the Jeep, and you both went home.
When you got there, you changed into your pajamas and laid down onto the surface of a cold bed. You grabbed your thickest pillow and pulled it into your arms, trying to create some semblance of a feeling of Isaac laying down with you.
~---~---~---~---~
You awoke to bright sunlight and a buzzing phone by your head. Isaac had been calling you to ask you to let him in the house. You realized it was high time that he gets a key to the front door.
You went downstairs to greet your boyfriend, and you noticed that he had brought Starbucks. You almost caused him to fall to the floor had he not caught you in time. He set you on the floor and kissed your lips before heading to the kitchen.
He had gotten your regular order, as well as your favorite drink, and he had gotten his order as well.
You guys say down to just eat and relax.
He took a sip of his iced coffee before saying anything.
"My dad wants me to work at the graveyard," he said, pensive.
You choked on your food. "What?"
"Well, he said he's cutting off my allowance."
"So he said I can either earn it by working at the graveyard or stay broke."
"That's fine, darling?"
"I know, but I still want to get a job to save so once I turn 18, I can move out. And, he is willing to let me choose my own hours, or really just give me hours that don't interfere with lacrosse practice."
You gave him a solemn look and whined. "But that means we won't have as much cuddle time?"
"He shouldn't even be in your room," your dad said, approaching you from behind.
"Hi, dad."
"Good morning, Mr. Stilinsk—"
"Isaac," your dad interjected. "It's fine. You can call me Noah."
Isaac smiled.

WoT - Would you read it for Chris' snack? // PILOT
Today we have, Food Follies, the pilot of Write on Time.
The scene starts showing a grassy field with only one tree, in this tree we can see a small bird house hanging from a branch, that's the Tricky Trio's house, the scene starts to show the inside of the house, where Joseph and Philip are playing a card game called "The Game".
Philip: JUST PLAY!
Joseph: I'm thinking! T-INK-IN-G, now wait, will ya?
Philip: Ngh, don't think so you don't hurt your head.
Philip gets up, stands next to Joseph, and starts to see his cards.
Philip: If I were you I would play this one.
Joseph: Ok.
Joseph plays the card chosen by Philip.
Philip: Hey, how did you make such a good play?
Joseph: Secret.
Philip: Cool, 'cuz I WIN!
Philip plays all his cards and wins the game, he laughs while Joseph looks at him annoyed, Joseph then looks at the camera.
Joseph: Skilled isn't he?
Joseph goes back to looking at Philip.
Joseph: Let's play again.
Chris (offscreen): AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
Joseph and Philip get scared and look at each other for a second, the scene then changes to Chris, sitting on a couch, Joseph and Philip jump out of the throw pillows and look at Chris.
Joseph and Philip: WHAT?
Chris: It's horrible, deplorable, unignorable... it rhymed... BUT IT'S HORRIBLE!
Joseph and Philip: WHAT?
Chris: Somebody ate my SNACK!
Joseph and Philip: IMPOSSIBLE!
Chris (crying): Possible! WAAAAAH! Help me!
Philip: Of course, we'll help! I investigated a familiar case before, mine was a turkey sandwich, I loved it, seeing it dead was the most shocking scene I have seen in 17 years being a detective.
Joseph: What was the second most shocking?
Philip: This one.
Philip gets closer to Chris.
Philip: Don't worry, the great detectives are here.
A very detective like intro happens, with the first scene showing Philip walking in circles following his own trail of footprints, and the second scene showing Joseph holding a magnifying glass analyzing things, but accidentally looking at the Sun and burning his eyes.
Philip: Firstly!
Philip gives a stylish entrance by spinning his way to Chris and putting a pipe in his mouth.
Philip: Explain what happeneEE COUGH COUGH COUGH!
Philip throws the pipe away.
Philip: What COUGH COUGH, happened COUGH.
Chris: My snack was eaten.
Philip: Can you give a more detailed explanation?
Chris: Sure, my snack, wich is a quick meal between lunch and dinner was ingested and it's probably being digested and soon will become...
Joseph: TOO MANY DETAILS!
Philip: What were you doing when the snack was stolen?
Chris: I was on TikTok thinking about how JungKook is pretty.
Philip: Yes, and how did you find out it was stolen?
Chris: I went to the microwave, where I kept the snack, and then, I SAW... I SAW THE SCENE... ONLY CRUMBS AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH.
Chris: By the way, "GREAT DETECTIVES"... how can I know that YOU weren't the ones who ate it? BUNCH OF MUGGERS!
Philip: ARE YOU CALLING ME THIEF?
Chris: No! Just criminal, evildoer, crook and outlaw.
Philip: Oh alright, BUT IT WASN'T ME!
Joseph: Me neither.
Chris: Where were YOU at the time of the crime?
Philip and Joseph: Playing The Game.
Chris: Hmmmm, ok, nothing strange there, for now! Oh, when I find out who was responsible for this, I will equalize their face!
Philip: Let's go to the microwave to analyze the crumbs, there may be a clue there.
Everyone runs to the kitchen, and Joseph starts pointing somewhere.
Joseph: LOOK! ONE CLUE!
Chris: Where is it? Where is it?
Joseph shows a cellphone with the app "One Clue Crossword" showing.
Chris: Are you trying to die?
Philip pushes the two, and goes to the microwave.
Philip: I'm serious, people! Hmm, let me see these crumbs here.
The scene shows a very cliché detective sequence with Philip analyzing everything, putting crumbs in scientist tubes, tasting them, even hacking them with a computer. The scene then changes to Joseph and Chris standing in the middle of the kitchen looking at Philip.
Joseph: What a show off, isn't he?
Chris just nods positively. After that, Philip jumps in front of them.
Philip: Well friends.
Chris: WHAT? WHO WAS IT? SAY IT! SAY IT IMMEDIATELY! AM I DYING? DO I HAVE CHANCES TO LIVE DOCTOR?
Philip: Well, analyzing the situation a little and testing the texture and taste of the remaining crumbs, I come to the conclusion that yes, it was definitely a snack.
Chris e Joseph: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!
Philip: I also found a sign saying "William was here."
Chris: WILLIAM!
The scene changes to William sitting on another couch from the house, watching TV, out of nowhere a long, macabre hand slowly comes out of the TV, when it touches William, the TV starts screaming and Philip, Joseph and a furious Chris jump out of it and fall on the couch.
Joseph, Chris and Philip: IT WAS YOU!
William: I'M JUST GETTING OUT OF HERE WITH MY LAWYER! I'LL ONLY SAY SOMETHING WITH A MANDATE!
Chris: It was you, wasn't it? You ate my snack!
William: Did I? I don't remember.
Chris: Oh, so you're going to make a fool of yourself now, right? PHILIP INTERROGATE HIM!
Philip stands in front of William
Philip: Let's go! Helper, hold him.
Joseph's arms start to stretch and tie William to the couch.
Philip: A crime occurred here recently, one of the clues led us to you.
William: What crime? What clue?
Joseph slaps William in the face.
Joseph: We are the ones who ask the questions here!
William: Ok... then ask.
Joseph: Uuuuhhh, are you to blame?
William: For what?
Joseph slaps William in the face again.
Joseph: I SAID THAT WE ARE THE ONES WHO ASK THE QUESTIONS HERE.
Philip: The crime is a snack theft, the clue was a sign saying "William was here."
William: Ah, well, I'm having some amnesia attacks recently so I am leaving these signs all over the house to remind myself of where I have been.
Joseph: That's the most lame excuse I've ever heard.
Philip, Chris and Joseph: It must be true.
Philip: So, sir, have you heard anything recently that might be suspicious?
William: Well... I have amnesia so I have no idea.
Philip, Chris and Joseph look with a bored expression to each other and leave, the scene changes to them talking in private.
Philip: Okay, so it wasn't him.
Chris: But what if he is lying?
Joseph: Makes sense, Chris, I read in a book that the culprit is always the first person interrogated.
Philip: Yes, but we don't want that OLD AND PAST CLICHÉ on our show, do we?
Philip and Chris look at the camera and then at Joseph with a sarcastic look.
Joseph: Okay!
Philip: Hmmm, I already know who we can interrogate next!
The scene changes to a close up on William with an angry expresion on his face, the screen then shows Chris, Joseph and Philip around him.
William: Why do you want to interrogate me again?
Philip: We don't know who we can interrogate next!
William: Why don't you go, like, I don't know, to the place where she bought the snack?
Philip: Hey hey hey, shhh, I'm the detective here!
Philip turns to Chris and Joseph and says.
Philip: Guys, let's investigate the place...
William: GO AWAY!!!!
The scene changes to a restaurant called McRat. Philip, Chris and Joseph are in front of it.
Philip (narrating): McRat, normally a nice, happy place, but today, it was a dark place, because all the lights we're out.
Joseph: Are you narrating?
Philip: Yeah! Super cool!
Philip (narrating): We entered McRat, there was nobody inside it today, probably because it was already closed and we broke in to get in there.
Employee: GET OUT OF HERE NOW! I SAID WE'RE CLOSED!
Philip: Helper, hold him!
Joseph grabs an refrigerator, puts the employee inside it and closes the door, he then wait 3 seconds and opens the door, showing the employee inside a giant block of ice only with his head free.
Philip: We want to ask you a few questions.
Employee: Ugh, ok, yes, the CheeseRat is made of rats, yes, they are sewage rats, but they are washed, they are clean...
Joseph: TOO MANY DETAILS!
Chris: I came here and bought a Fried Vole earlier.
Employee: Well, those are worse, they are made with...
Joseph: NOBODY WANTS TO KNOW HOW YOUR SNACKS ARE MADE.
Employee: Good, because I REALLY didn't want to explain about the Chicken Sushi... I'll just say one thing, it's not chicken.
Joseph looks at the camera and at the Employee with a sad expression.
Joseph: I'm glad I don't eat here.
Philip: Okay, okay, enough talk, did you see someone strange here recently?
The employee takes a good look at the trio, who are making weird faces.
Employment: Yes.
Philip: ...
Philip: Alright! We're going, come on, helper, let him go.
Joseph hits the ice with a hammer and chisel, breaking everything. They go to the outside of the restaurant and sit on the sidewalk.
Philip: Let's interrogate some more people.
Chris: I know someone we can interrogate.
The scene changes to the Big Bad Wolf, hidden in a bush in the middle of a forest, watching a Little Red Riding Hood pass by.
Big Bad Wolf: Hmm, picnic basket, snack time.
Out of nowhere Joseph, Philip and Chris appear.
Joseph, Philip and Chris: STOP!
Big Bad Wolf: AAAAAAAAHHHHHH WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?
Philip: Well, you know, mom loved dad a lot and...
Joseph: TOO MANY DETAILS!
Joseph comes closer to the wolf's ear.
Joseph: I came from a scientific experiment.
Big Bad Wolf: What do you want here?
Chris: YOU ATE MY SNACK DIDN'T YA?
Big Bad Wolf: What? What snack?
Joseph slaps the wolf.
Joseph: Another one who likes to ask.
Chris: You know what snack! We know you're a glutton, tried to eat 3 pigs and even ate an old lady once.
Philip: Chris! This show was supposed to be family friendly.
Joseph: Yeah right, look who's speaking, "Mr. Daddy Loved Mommy Guy".
Philip: Mine was a valid example.
Big Bad Wolf: LISTEN! I didn't eat any snacks, in fact, if you read my stories you can see that I always fail to eat anything.
Chris: Go on..
Big Bad Wolf: But I know someone who is rude enough to eat other people's food without asking.
Joseph, Philip and Chris: Who?
The scene changes to Goldilocks analyzing the bears' porridges.
Goldilocks: Too hot, too cold, perfect!
Joseph, Philip and Chris appear out of nowhere.
Joseph, Philip and Chris: STOP!
Goldilocks chokes on the porridge and spits it all over her face.
Goldilocks: AAAAAH, COUGH, COUGH, WHAT? WHAT?
Chris: So you like to eat things without permission, right! Did you eat my snack?
Goldilocks: No! No! I swear! I don't even know you! But... I know someone who likes snacks.
A montage with the trio interrogating other characters starts, firstly with them talking with Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, then Garfield, then Hansel and Gretel. The scene then changes to the tired trio seated in a couch in their house.
Philip: Who we still need to interrogate?
Joseph: Goku, Naruto, Greedy Smurf.
Philip (excited): Ooooh, did you say Naruto?
Chris: Oh, forget it, we'll never find out who ate my snack, let's just leave it behind.
Chris walks out and Joseph follows her.
Philip (mentally): Hmm, wait... behind?
A light bulb suddenly appears on Philip's head and he has an idea.
Philip: I GOT IT!
The scene then shows all previously interrogated characters and the trio in a room, Philip is standing in front of everyone while the rest is sitting in chairs.
Philip: Now, you must be wondering why I called you all here.
Joseph: We are not, smart guy, it is literally the plot of the whole episode.
Big Bad Wolf: And why do we need to be phere? We don't care about a stupid snack.
Philip: You are here because we need more people to play Among Us.
All previously interrogated people leave the room, only leaving the trio.
Philip: Rude people.
Chris: WHO STOLE MY SNACK!
Philip: Well, Chris, I was in doubt, but after you said "leave it behind" I remembered something! Who is the only person who can be everywhere at the same time, and is the only person who in all cartoons, comic strips, films and everywhere never eats?
Chris: Me.
Philip: The cameraman.
Chris and Joseph: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, what?
Chris: This is a text, we don't have a cameraman.
Philip: But here we have a NARRATOR!
Chris and Joseph: AAAAAAAAAHHHH.
What? How can he...
Philip: COME ON NARRATOR! I CAN SEE YOUR TEXT! ACTUALLY SHOW YOURSELF!
Narrator: What?
Philip: Admit it, before the episode started you saw the snack and decided to eat it.
Narrator: O-Of course not.
Chris: IT WAS YOU! I WILL EXTERMINATE YOU!
Narrator: Of course it wasn't me, I was... I... I was! I WAS!
Philip: You can't fool me, Narrator.
Narrator: Grrr, ALRIGHT, IT WAS ME! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?
Chris: No! We still have to find out who you really are.
Grr alright... I, the narrator, materialize myself in front of Chris, Joseph and Philip.
William: Here.
Chris, Joseph and Philip: William?
Philip: Wait, William, are you a narrator?
William: Just for this pilot, the normal narrator is sick today.
Joseph: The guy missed the first day at work.
Chris: It doesn't matter, TIME TO DIE, FOR MY SNACK!
Chris starts to fight with William like crazy, a cartoon fight cloud appears and they start to move around the room fighting! The scene changes to Joseph and Philip.
Philip: So wait, my logic was wrong! If the original narrator were working today, William wouldn't be caught.
Joseph: Well duuh, who puts together a random phrase and thinks that would solve a whole case that easily?
Philip: It works in the movies.
Joseph: Well, at least MY logic was right! I told ya it's always the first person to be interrogated, didn't I?
Philip looks angrily at Joseph and then at the screen, and shows a sign saying "Cliché ending, isn't it?"

pairing: none prompt: not this time notes: last day of the birthday countdown fic week! day five!! thank you so much for the love you’ve shown this week. i’ve enjoyed writing something with the prompts and i’m hoping it’ll keep my mojo going as i continue to work on the various things i’ve got planned. this is just entirely soft and fluffy and i hope y’all love it. small masterlist of the fic week can be found here warnings: none word count: 2.3k!
—
You knew that she was excited beyond reason knowing that her favourite uncles were finally back from touring.
Your daughter was practically begging you to ask them to come and visit, the last time she’d gotten so see them was months ago when they were touring in the city.
“I’ll ask them little bird, but I can’t promise that they’ll come around. They only got home yesterday and they’re going to be tired.” You warned and her face fell for a second.
“But I can see them this week?” This made you smile.
“Of course, they wouldn’t pass up a chance to spend the day with you, you know that. They might just be too tired to come around today.” She nodded before disappearing upstairs to her room, a loud banging telling you that she’d gone to the plastic drum kit that Ashton had bought her for her last birthday.
Opening the group chat you had with them, you sent the message.
‘I have a tiny human who has realised you guys are home. When you’re up for it, drop by later this week, you’d make her day.’
Heading to the kitchen, you began to make some lunch for the two of you as your phone pinged.
‘I think bug snuggles are required for recovery.’ Your eyes saw that was from Michael and you laughed.
‘Only if you’re up for it, I’ve told her you guys might be too tired to come around today so it’ll be during the week.’
Ashton was the next reply
‘I’ll bring some snacks. See you in thirty.’
This set off a discussion of various snacks followed by varying times from each member. You sent the eye roll emoji followed by a heart before making sandwiches, knowing that if they were bringing snacks, she wouldn’t eat anything else.
“Little bird, time for some lunch.” You called up, the banging stopping as she came rushing downstairs, the small toy drum sticks grasped in her hand.
She pulled herself up onto the dining room chair, setting the sticks on the table which made you laugh, snapping a photo and sending it to the chat.
‘Looks like someone has her sights set on her future career.’
‘Bass is better, I’ll teach her the right instrument.’ Came from Calum not even a minute later.
‘She’d still say that drums are the better instrument.’ You sent back as you ate your own food, placing the phone face down on the table.
“Did they answer mommy?” She asked between bites and you hummed in response.
“They’ll see. But no promises.” She nodded her head as she finished her food and helped you with the dishes, her giggles echoing through the kitchen as the water splashed the both of you as you filled the sink up.
Once the dishes were done and set on the side to dry, she was about to rush upstairs before there was a knock on the door, the sound of the door opening making her turn to you in confusion.
“Did we forget someone was coming round today mommy?” Your lips curved into a smile at her question.
“Why don’t you go see?” She scampered from the kitchen, making you countdown in your head from three.
As you hit one, she squealed.
“Uncle Ash!” Her giggle reached your ears followed by his own.
Making your way through, you found yourself grinning at the sight before you. Ashton had your daughter in his arms, her lips pulled back into the biggest grin as he peppered her face in kisses.
“And how’s my drumming replacement, huh?” She giggled, her face ducking away into his hoodie in embarrassment at his words.
“M’never replacing you.” She mumbled and he laughed.
“Good to know, lovebug.” She beamed at the nickname before squirming to get down from his arms. He obliged and she headed upstairs, her lips pulled back into a grin as Ashton greeted you with a warm hug.
“She’s so your favourite.” You teased him as you kissed his cheek.
“Just watch, Mike will arrive and I’ll be forgotten.” The two of you laughed as he followed you into the kitchen, placing the bag on the counter that contained various goodies. You peered in it for a second and laughed.
“She’s definitely gonna have a sugar crash. You all are.” You commented as he made himself comfortable, grabbing a drink.
“That’s the point. I think the others have the same idea of relaxed clothing. Means we can keep up with the little lovebug but also not feel uncomfortable if we do crash.”
“It’s a good job I ended up getting those big corner sofas otherwise there’d be no room for you all.” Came the tart reply and he laughed.
The door knocked once more and before you could even call for your little bird, she was flying down the stairs as the door started opening. You peered from the kitchen to watch your daughter launch at Calum who caught her with ease.
“Uncle Calum!”
“Ooft, hello to you too princess.” You laughed and she glanced back to you, her lips pulled back into a wide grin.
“Is uncle Lu and uncle Mike comin’ too?” You tried to hide your grin, but as her eyes practically lit up, you knew that you’d failed and she’d put two and two together.
“Does this mean movie day?” Calum asked, playing along as his eyes widened, looking between you and her. You snorted.
“I guess it does mean movie day. Wanna go get changed into some comfy clothes little bird?” She beamed as Calum set her down and she went running once more. You laughed as he wrapped his arms around you in greeting and you could feel the stress of the last few weeks melt away.
“And how is our favourite mom?” He asked once he’d let go and the three of you began to migrate towards the living room, snacks and drinks in hands.
“Stressed. It’s been a tough couple of weeks. I know that there are some kids giving her a hard time and she’s lashing out in return. I got called up to the school twice. First time because one girl had thrown something at her and she retaliated by pushing her over. Second time she hadn’t done anything but because the other girl had pushed her over and hurt her, I was still called in.” You explained as you tied your hair back, a soft sigh escaping.
“I take it work weren’t too happy about that?” Ashton asked quietly and you gave a sarcastic laugh.
“My boss has been a right bastard about it. Made a comment about her dad needing to be around to deal with her.” They flinched at that.
You’d been devastated the day that you’d received the call that her dad had been in a car collision and died. They boys had always been an active part of your little girl's life, but you knew they were stepping up, just like her dad would’ve wanted them to.
“What did you do after that?”
“Made the complaint to HR, told them the situation because he threatened to not pay me. They said that it was noted down and he’s now under investigation. All of us are suspended from normal work until the investigation is complete.”
“Are you at least getting paid?” Ashton asked, stunned. You nodded.
“Yeah, it’s full pay thankfully. She just thinks I’m on vacation from work.” You explained quietly when you heard her footsteps come flying down the stairs. They understood the silent request to not talk about it in front of you little girl.
Just as she launched upon Ashton, making him laugh, you heard the door go once more. Her head shot up from his chest where she’d rested it and you laughed.
“I’ll go get it.” You pushed yourself from your spot next to Cal and you were greeted with the door already opening, revealing Michael and Luke. You couldn’t help but giggle. Michael held five pizza boxes and in Luke’s hands you spied two bottles of wine.
“You guys are ridiculous.” You finally muttered before stepping aside so they could carry on through to the kitchen.
“You love us really.” Michael sang back. You grinned.
Luke dropped a kiss to your cheek as he passed on by, making you laugh as you pushed him towards the kitchen, closing the door behind him and following them both. When you reached the kitchen, you were pulled into a warm hug and you sighed, returning the hug tightly.
“You guys are the best, honestly.” You murmured in Michael’s ear and he pulled back, grinning.
“Oh we know we are. Now, where’s my cuddlebug?”
“Living room. We’re vegging out there.” He grinned, heading past you and you found yourself in another set of arms.
“Hope you don’t mind us bringing the wine. Figured that you could use a bit of a break too.” He murmured and you nodded your head against his chest.
“It’s fine. But if any of you guys drink, you’re not driving.” He grinned down at you as you pulled back, your tone stern.
“Yes mom.” He teased before you shoved him towards the living room.
When you followed him, you found yourself grinning. Michael had thrown himself down on the spot next to Ashton, and your daughter had immediately crawled to the spot between them, her arms wrapped around him.
“Hey, no cuddles for your uncle Lu?” Luke whined and she shook her head and he pouted before leaning over to ruffle her hair, making her beam back at him.
“I’ll cuddle you later uncle Lu.” You knew that she would as well. If there was someone she loved to cuddle, it was Michael. But Luke was a close second in her eyes.
He laughed, leaning over the back of the sofa and planting a kiss to the top of her head before he sat on the other sofa.
“What movie are we watching then?” Calum asked and she thought about it for a second.
“Tangled!” You snorted at that as you switched on the TV, flicking it onto Netflix and pulling up the movie before settling between Calum and Luke, your head resting on Calum’s shoulder as the title began rolling, your eyes darting over to the three on the second couch, her body pressed tightly between Michael and Ashton as she mouthed along to the dialogue.
“We’ll get her hooked onto a new film soon enough.” Calum hummed and you laughed.
“This will still be her favourite. Thanks for coming around and spending this day with her though, I know you guys only got back yesterday.” You felt a soft jab to your side from Luke.
“Hey, she’s worth it and we can’t let our favourite niece drive our favourite mom mad from watching the same film over and over.” He teased with a grin. You rolled your eyes in return, but smiled nonetheless.
“As long as you know that you guys don’t have to compete for our affections, then I’m all for you guys having days like this.” Luke grinned.
After the first film, Michael declared it was time for pizzas, making her gasp in delight as he pushed himself off the sofa. You went to join him, grinning as your little girl moved from Ashton’s side, crawling onto Luke’s lap and snuggling with him.
Whilst reheating the pizzas, the two of you talked quietly, catching Michael up with what was going on.
“Please tell me you’re looking for a new job?” He asked as you helped him put the second pizza in the oven to reheat.
“I’m looking, but nothing so far.” You sighed and he rested a hand on your shoulder in comfort. You smiled at him softly.
“If you need someone to look after her, you can always drop her by mine. Southy adores her and we both know how territorial Southy is.” This made the two of you share grins as you changed the pizzas over.
You could hear from the kitchen as she told the other three what she’d done at school, the various drawings and big things she’d accomplished.
Accepting the glass of wine from Michael as you two carried the pizza boxes through, a bright grin on your daughter's lips as she scrambled from her spot on Luke’s lap to open the pizza boxes, you could only watch in amusement as she picked the cheese one and returning to her spot between Michael and Ashton.
As the conversation moved onto the boys talking about tour, telling her small stories that had her giggling into her food when she took bites as they talked, you felt a sense of relief that at least if anything, she had four men in her life who would do as much as they could for her.
“Mommy, did you really go on tour with them once? And did uncle Lu really try to prank you with the bad doughnuts?” And a Luke whined in protest as you giggled, you felt more and more relaxed as the conversation flowed from one story to another, her eyes and ears taking in everything before they began to get heavy and she curled closer to Michael, all of them pausing for seconds to yawn.
“How ‘bout we nap cuddlebug? Then we can watch some more films.” Michael bargained with your child and she thought about it for a second before nodding her head.
It didn’t take much longer as the others seemed to be following her lead and even you couldn’t stop yourself from curling into Calum’s side, his arm squeezing you gently as your eyes surveyed the room.
“You rest as well, you need to look after yourself as well.” Calum hummed and you chuckled softly before allowing yourself to relax, the warmth of your home and a full stomach lulling you into a relaxed nap, feeling like things were going to at least go up from here.

[Request] Junkrat x Reader - Fireworks
Fandom: Overwatch
Pairing: Junkrat x Reader
Words:1671
Warnings: OOC, other than that, none, I think
Notes: I’ve... I’ve had this on my askbox since March... April? I don’t know, way too long. Life this past year was though (already told you about it) and add that to the fact I had no ideas to this until now... I wrote and rewrote this once, twice, again, and again and again and again and ag-
But, it’s here. A mix of inspiration from New Years and motivation to finish this so I can move on to another request that recently came in.
I’m sorry if this is bad, and I’m so sorry for keeping you waiting, but I am a woman of my word and if I swore to myself I’d do it... Even if bad and rushed, it’s done. Not quite as requested but, closest I could do.
The room was warm, bright chatter warming the mood as much as the fireplace did. You had honestly zoned out from the conversation, choosing to use your son’s voice as background noise as you enjoyed a nice meal with a smile.
You surprised even yourself when suddenly your brain decided to hyper focus in the conversation.
“…It was so cool! Daddy, daddy, why don’t we make fireworks for New Year too?!”
You held the fork still, halfway to your lips. Your eyes snapped to the amber orbs across the table. Junkrat’s eyes were already shining with the possibilities, sending you all the hope he could muster. You just glared in return.
“No.”
The finality in your reply immediately killed the excitement in their faces. It didn’t kill their determination, though. Both Junkrat and your son kicked up the puppy dog eyes.
“But mom! Matty and his dad do it!” Your little boy replied.
“Yes, but Matty’s father is experienced in making fireworks, your dad isn’t.” Junkrat glared at you, nose up in the air, expression a comical mix of hurt and challenging.
“That ain’t true!”
“Jamie, do you even know how fireworks work?”
“That’s easy!” His face turned confident. “They explode!”
It took you all the will power to not faceplant into the plate. Figuring arguing was useless, you just repeated your previous answer.
“No. Out of the question. Never gonna happen!”
Through hard protests, you finished dinner and maintained your answer, ending with a pouting child in bed and a pouting husband probably ranting to Roadhog on the little house the big man had built next to yours.
However, you knew it wasn’t over. Both Jamison and Jimmy, having inherited the stubbornness of the former, would bother you to the ends of the earth.
You woke up in the middle of the night with Roadhog squeezing himself out through your bedroom’s door, a seemingly drunk Junkrat, recently thrown into the bed, trapping you from behind in his lanky members. Roadhog sent you a look of (you guessed) pity before leaving with a wave. You muttered a goodnight before he closed the bedroom door. You sometimes wondered how the big male could be so subtle when moving.
A few high giggles caressed your face, followed by a slurred groan you detected, after a long while, was your name. You hummed as a reply.
“…Fire-Fireworks?...” Junkrat breathed out among more giggles. You inhaled deeply to calm down, or you would kick him out of the bed.
“No.” You jumped with a squeak when you felt a bite on your neck. He nuzzled your neck and groaned again.
“Sheilaaaaa~…C’mon-“
“No.” Another bite. You had to bite your own lip as well to contain a moan. “Jamie…”
Junkrat ignored your warning and kept insisting. Another denial, another bite.
“You’re not really drunk, are you?” You asked after a while, finding the insistence strange. You felt him tense for a moment. Caught. Your turned to him.
“Alright, alright, you caught me!” Junkrat looked away, pouting.
Maybe it was his previous teasing, or the fact he wasn’t pouting on purpose this time, but you found him adorable and irresistible. A smirk pulled at your lips.
“You know… maybe you could try to convince me.” Junkrat looked back at you, pulled by your alluring voice. He mirrored your smirk before diving in for a kiss.
Steamy negotiations kept on through the night.
---___---___---___---___---___---___---
The next day, the fireworks theme wasn’t brought up until after lunch, when your son bolted into the kitchen and glued himself into your side with a hug.
“Thank you, mommy!” You laughed, petting his hair.
“What for Jimmy?”
“For letting me and dad do the fireworks!”
“…Where is your dad?” The young kid looked at you, bright and innocent eyes.
“He’s at the barn!”
You bolted out the door, towards said barn, Junkrat’s workshop, built at a good distance from the house to avoid accidents. As you burst into the building, Junkrat turned to you like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar… or in this case, with his hands in… commercial fireworks?
“You bought fireworks?” You asked, more confused than angry.
“Well, I need to-“ He raised his fingers in quotation marks “ ‘learn how to make them’, aight?”
“You can learn alright, but you still can’t make them.”
“What?! You agreed last night!” You couldn’t help but laugh at the betrayal in his face.
“Jamie, sweetie, I was saying ‘yes’, but it wasn’t to that and you know it.” You replied with a wink before returning to the house, leaving a fuming husband behind.
---___---___---___---___---___---
Dinner was rather unpleasant. Jimmy pecked at the food at his plate pouting, while his father kept glaring at you from across the table. Roadhog, who’d been invited to dinner like almost every day, was the only one who wasn’t judging you somehow and instead ate his food in silence. You tried to remain unaffected, but the fact Junkrat /didn’t stop/ glaring started to make you uneasy.
“Jamie, are you going to eat or not?” You shifted in your seat.
“Not until you let me do the fireworks…”
“C’mon…” You sighed, hand ruffling your hair in frustration.
“(Y/N), it’s just some fireworks!” Junkrat said across the table, voice high and nearing screech. He pleaded Roadhog for help “Roadie, help me out here!”
Roadhog slid his chair a little towards you, declaring which side he stood in this fight.
“Traitor!” Move by his father’s enthusiasm, Jimmy joined in the discussion.
“But, mom, making fireworks is easy! It will be so fun!”
“Jimmy, both you and your father know, if I say no to a project, it means no! It’s dangerous!” You underlined the last word with a harsher glare towards Junkrat.
“Are you saying you don’t trust in me?!” Junkrat was now standing, towering over the table in an attempt to intimidate you.
“You know what, Jamie, that’s exactly what I’m saying! You /love/ to experiment, you’re constantly blowing up either part of the barn or the Watchpoint lab, and I don’t feel safe letting you build fireworks, /with our kid/ knowing you’ll find a way to make it more ‘kablooey’, which will likely result in disaster!” Junkrat was out of words. You knew he knew it was true, he couldn’t help it.
“Mom, we’re careful, right dad?” Little Jimmy chimed in, seemingly revigorating his father.
“Yeah, I can be careful! C’mon, sheil-“
You couldn’t help it anymore and jumped off your seat, sending the chair backwards. Your hands slammed the table, silencing the room for good.
“Enough! It’s dangerous! I’m sorry if I’m being selfish, but I won’t let you work on it!”
Before anything could be said you bolted up the stairs to your room.
You had no idea how long you were left alone, but it must have been a while. You paced around the room, trying to calm your shivers and your breathing. You had no idea these fears could come up with something so stupid.
The door creaked open and you turned to see both Junkrat and your son peaking in, a confused look on the former and kicked puppy eyes on the later. You felt yourself deflate and collapsed on the bed, arms over your face.
You felt a small body lay over your stomach. One of your hands moved to pet your son’s mop of hair, his color a direct copy from yours. You opened your eyes to Junkrat kneeling next to you.
You could see him struggling for words, so you spilled yours first.
“I’m scared…” You exhaled, the weight of the truth coming off your chest. “I know what your job is, and you /have/ been more careful in the past couple of years, but sometimes, I’m afraid, specially with a constant reminder in front of me…” You held Junkrat’s cybernetic hand, playing with the metal fingers so cold against your own. “…Of what could go wrong.” His confused face turned sad with realization.
“Sheila…”
“One thing is doing what you have to, at the base where, should something happen, someone will come for help immediately, but putting yourself, and Jimmy, in danger for a… whim it’s… I hate it.”
In the silence, the young boy sent his father a knowing look, before jumping off you and pulling you up.
“Mommy, mommy, it’s okay, we have something to show you!” Junkrat let out his characteristic giggles, before following his son’s lead.
“Yes, dear, come here!”
Confused, you allowed yourself to be pulled up to your feet and guided to the window, looking into your backyard. Junkrat pulled out on of his infamous triggers from his pocket and pressed the button before you could complain.
The tell-tale whistle ringed outside and you saw a streak of light fly upwards from behind the barn, before exploding into orange sparkles high in the sky. More followed, exploding in orange, (fav/color) and others.
Hypnotized by the lights, you didn’t notice Junkrat leaning into your ear.
“So you know, we’re still alive.”
“You… you did these?” You asked, stunned. Jimmy jumped with pride beside you.
“I picked the colors, mom!”
“C’mon, Sheila…” You looked up at Junkrat, doubt still swirling in your head. “You could join us~”
You wanted to argue. You wanted to find a contradiction, but the burst of light coloring the sky in front of you were evidence enough. You couldn’t handle it.
“…Fine…” Both males looked at you. “You can do the fireworks for New Years, but Jimmy stays at a safe distance and you do /not/ experiment at all, got it?”
The two released screams of victory before wrapping you in one of the warmest hugs ever, made even warmer by the Junkrat’s lips pecking yours, before bolting out the door, son in tow, both screaming in happiness. You couldn’t help but burst out laughing before running after them, fireworks still burning the sky to life outside.
The New Year was gonna be great…

Life With You: XV
AN: Fluff with some plot and more secrets.
Part Fifteen: Parenthood
When Goku was congratulated on being a father, everyone was filled with kind words, praises and advice.
“Get plenty of sleep before the baby comes,” advised Mr. Olitz.
Mr. Lupp told him, “Don’t leave everything to your wife.”
“No sex for two months after the baby’s born,” Aki warned him with a shake of his head. “That sucks.”
Goku was ready for it. Well, he thought he was ready for it but no matter how many times he was warned, he wasn’t prepared for the amount of crying Gohan did, the number of times Gohan’s diaper needed to be changed, how often Gohan needed to be fed or held.
The first month was a disaster. ChiChi was a mess and he didn’t know what to do.
When Goku opened his eyes, it was still dark. What time was it? ChiChi had the clock on her nightstand. He rolled over to see he was alone. Where was ChiChi? Goku pulled back the covers and climbed out of bed. Now that ChiChi wasn’t pregnant anymore, Goku could easily pinpoint her Ki. He left the room, following ChiChi’s Ki but stopped off at Gohan’s room first. Goku quietly entered the room, stepping over toys left on the floor before reaching the crib.
Gohan slept with his pacifier in his mouth. The blanket that Goku knew ChiChi covered him with was pushed off to his feet. Goku covered the blanket over Gohan and stared at the sleeping baby. Crying, eating and sleeping was all Gohan wanted to do. Goku didn’t mind the crying; just the number of times he did it. He didn’t know babies cried so much.
Still, the crying wasn’t so bad when he thought of Gohan’s smiles and laughs. When he saw Gohan, he saw pieces of himself. Besides the tail, Gohan had his eyes, spikes in his hair and his stomach! He drunk so much of ChiChi’s milk, ChiChi had to make more milk with formula they bought at the market. He loved watching Gohan learn the world around him; loved seeing Gohan’s reaction at the discovery of new things. He didn’t know as much about parenting as ChiChi but he liked the idea there was something that was his and he loved that he shared it with ChiChi.
Speaking of ChiChi, he needed to find her. With one last look at Gohan, Goku quietly left the room.
Goku found ChiChi in the living room, sitting on the sofa in the dark. ChiChi hadn’t noticed him. His sharp ears picked up the sounds of sniffling and soft sobs. Was ChiChi crying?
“ChiChi?” Goku stepped in the room. “Are you crying?”
“Goku?” ChiChi gasped. She hastily wiped her eyes. “What is it? Is Gohan crying?” She grabbed the baby monitor besides her. “I don’t hear anything.”
“Gohan’s fine.” Goku knelt before ChiChi. He turned on a lamp by the sofa. ChiChi’s eyes were red and tears streak her cheeks. “ChiChi, what’s wrong?” After a moment of silence from his wife, Goku shook ChiChi’s left knee gently. “ChiChi.”
ChiChi exhaled. “I want to be the best wife and mother to you and Gohan and I can’t do it. I’m terrible!”
“What?” Where did ChiChi get that silly idea? “Why are ya talking nonsense, ChiChi?”
He didn’t mean to but her words trigger her tears to return. “I can’t keep the house clean! I’m not making you full again! I can’t make Gohan full!”
Oh. It was true the house wasn’t as clean before Gohan was born. Gohan’s toys were on the floor in his room. Their clothes baskets in the bathroom were piling with unclean clothes. There was a basket of clean clothes in their bedroom but ChiChi hadn’t folded them yet. Whenever ChiChi tried to clean, Gohan cried, needing to be fed or a diaper changed and she had to hold him until he went to sleep otherwise he’d cry. Gohan’s constant crying and demands to be cared for had ChiChi functioning on little sleep. When she did sleep, other things around the house didn’t get done like cleaning. ChiChi also wasn’t making enough food that filled Goku’s belly. It didn’t bother Goku. He would always hunt afterwards. He thought he was helping ChiChi by not voicing her food wasn’t making him full anymore.
As for not filling Gohan, he didn’t understand. “What do you mean you’re not making Gohan full? You give him enough milk.”
“I’m not producing enough milk,” ChiChi cried. “Even after he’s drunk milk from both breasts, he’s still hungry. I have to feed him formula milk until he’s full.”
Goku rubbed the back of his head. Was that really a big deal? “He has my stomach. He eats like me.” That spurned ChiChi to cry again. Goku gently pulled ChiChi to sit on the floor with him. He wrapped his arms around her and rocked her gently. “Ah, don’t cry, ChiChi. You are the best to me. Gohan knows it, too.”
As if on cue, Gohan cries rang from the baby monitor. “I’ll get him.” While Goku left to get Gohan, ChiChi lowered one strap of her gown, exposing a breast. She pulled herself together as her wailing son entered the room in his father’s arms.
“Someone hungry for Mommy’s milk.” Goku settled besides ChiChi and handed Gohan to her. ChiChi adjusted Gohan in her arms and almost immediately Gohan latched onto a nipple and sucked.
Goku stared at his son, sucking and drinking. He asked ChiChi to taste her milk but she refused, arguing Gohan needs it. With ChiChi concerned she wasn’t producing enough milk for Gohan, Goku knew any future requests would be turned down.
“I don’t know a lot about parenting but I can help you,” Goku offered.
ChiChi shook her head. “I’m the wife. It’s my job to take care of the house and baby. You’re doing your job as provider.”
“I’ll help with cooking,” Goku insisted. ChiChi could be stubborn at times. He didn’t understand why she didn’t want to accept help. He shook his head amused. Actually, he did understand. He was that way in a fight.
“You don’t know how to cook, Goku.”
“I know how to eat,” Goku argued. “Just show me how to make stuff. I wanna help.”
ChiChi agreed, watching over Goku as he prepared meals under her supervision. The first week of meals were disastrous and the mess Goku made almost had ChiChi permanently banning him from the kitchen. After several apologies and pleas, ChiChi gave Goku another chance. The kitchen was still messy but Goku did prepare meals both could eat. They were never as good as ChiChi’s meals and both were praying for the day when ChiChi could balance her housewife duties and being a mom.
By the second month, things gotten a little better. With Goku cooking breakfast and lunch, ChiChi got more sleep which allowed her to keep the house clean while caring for Gohan. In this second month, ChiChi found time to exercise again. ChiChi was determined to get her body back into shape. Goku didn’t turn down ChiChi’s request he help her, but both were surprised the extra strength she felt during her pregnancy was gone.
It was something ChiChi brought up to Dr. Barkley during her and Gohan’s two month checkup.
Gohan’s doctor appointments were held at Gyu-Mao’s castle in the room where she delivered Gohan. The day of Gohan’s birth Dr. Barkley asked to stay on as Gohan’s Pediatrician. ChiChi agreed but thought it strange Dr. Barkley gave her and Gohan their checkups at her father’s castle and not at her office.
“It’s a theory but I think the loss of strength is due to Gohan. It was always Gohan’s strength. Not yours,” Dr. Barkley guessed as Gohan squirmed at the cold stethoscope placed on his chest. “Think about it. You ate more than usual, you had an abundance of energy and you felt stronger than before. It all left when you gave birth. It explains why labor was difficult for you.”
ChiChi sighed disappointed. The doctor’s theory made sense. “Oh. That’s disappointing. I’m gonna miss feeling that strong.”
“So…..” Goku said slowly. “You’re saying Gohan’s strong?” His smile grew at the thought, at what this meant. “He’s gonna be strong like me?”
Dr. Barkley removed the stethoscope from Gohan’s chest. “Heart rhythms good. Breathing is normal.” She pulled out a tool from her white coat pocket to examine Gohan’s ears. “Possibly, Goku. He has your blood.”
Goku squealed excited. “All right!”
“Goku,” ChiChi scolded him. “Gohan’s a baby. Don’t you think about Gohan fighting like you!”
“Well, not now.” Goku knew it was too soon. Gohan couldn’t walk or talk. “But when he’s older….”
“Goku….” ChiChi warned. She didn’t want to argue in front of her young son and Dr. Barkley but if Goku kept at this…..
Dr. Barkley noticed ChiChi’s changing demeanor and diverted a possible fight by focusing on Gohan. “How’s Gohan sleeping pattern?”
“Gohan’s sleeping four hours a night,” ChiChi answered, grateful for the distraction. “I’m getting him to sleep three hours during the day. He still eats a lot. I’m not producing enough milk for him so I have to rely on formulas.”
Dr. Barkley looked away from checking Gohan’s reflexes and muscles. She stared at Goku. “Well….that’s expected.”
ChiChi noticed the doctor’s eyes on Goku. “Yes, he does take after his Daddy.”
Dr. Barkley continued Gohan’s checkup. “How’s Gohan’s head control?”
“Very good. He’s still lifting his head on his own. He turns at any new sound. He’s very smart, very observant.”
“Observant?” Dr. Barkley questioned.
ChiChi felt motherly pride bloom in her. She didn’t want to brag but her son was special. “The other day Gohan watched Goku do pushups and tried it, too. He only did one but it’s very impressive. He can rollover, too. I read children don’t do this until they are at least four months and Gohan’s only two.”
Dr. Barkley continued to examine Gohan while adding notes to her electronic pad. Gohan suddenly grabbed Dr. Barkley’s white coat. He smiled at her. “He likes to grab things, too,” ChiChi added. “I have to keep my hair up around him.”
“Sounds like Gohan is ahead of the curve.”
“He is. He’s very smart and I will nourish that.” ChiChi knew Goku wanted to teach Gohan how to fight but ChiChi thought it was better Gohan focused on his mind and made it as strong as possible.
Exam finished, Dr. Barkley added more notes to her pad. “Physically, everything is fine with Gohan. Mentally, he is ahead of the curve in development at his age and that’s never a bad thing.” She placed her electronic pad in her doctor’s bag and pulled out a small, black case. “I’ll administer Gohan his shots and that’ll be it.”
When Dr. Barkley opened her case, Goku saw needles. Needles. He remembered that horrible day where he was poke and prodded. He was not gonna allow the same thing to happen to Gohan. Goku jumped from his seat, snatched Gohan from ChiChi’s arms and held his son protectively as he stepped to the door. “You’re not sticking Gohan with needles!”
Dr. Barkley blinked. He moved so fast she didn’t see him take Gohan from ChiChi’s arms. “It’s vaccination shots so he doesn’t get illnesses. All babies get these.”
“Not my Gohan! You’re gonna make him cry with those needles!”
“It will hurt him more if he gets sick,” Dr. Barkley explained. Although she had a sneaking suspicion Gohan may not get the illnesses the vaccination shots will protect him from if Goku’s physical exam results meant anything. Still, she couldn’t risk harm to the baby.
“Goku!” ChiChi yelled. “Let her give Gohan his shots. He needs it.”
Goku tightened his hold on Gohan. He shook his head stubbornly. “No! He’s gonna cry. The needles are gonna hurt him!”
“He’s gonna be fine,” ChiChi promised him. “Do you think I will willingly allow harm to Gohan?”
Goku relaxed a little. ChiChi would die for Gohan. “No.”
“Then let him get his shots!” ChiChi screamed and Goku jumped slightly frightened. It was amazing her screams could make him shiver.
Goku fell back in his seat still holding Gohan protectively. The child stared at his father babbling curiously.
Dr. Barkley approached and gently wiped Gohan’s left arm with a wet cloth. The sudden touch had Gohan turning back to the doctor. He cooed as she pulled out a needle. Goku winced seeing the sharp pointy metal. He couldn’t believe he was allowing this. He closed his eyes as Dr. Barkley administered the first shot.
“Hmm,” Dr. Barkley observed the needle piercing Gohan’s skin. “Gohan’s skin isn’t as tough as Goku’s.” Goku opened his eyes to see the liquid from the shot enter Gohan. Gohan gurgled a laugh at the needles’ touch. “Might be due to him being so young but we’ll see if it toughens up as he gets older.”
ChiChi noticed how calm and happy Gohan appeared as he was given his shots while Goku was nervous, almost shaking with each one. ChiChi shook her head. “Gohan’s taking the shots better than you, Goku. Toughen up.”
“He wasn’t poke for hours like me,” Goku defended himself.
“Sorry about that, Goku,” Dr. Barkley apologized, “But we needed to do testing on you to understand why you had a tail and if you are healthy.”
“You could’ve done it without all those needles,” Goku grumpily told her.
ChiChi rolled her eyes. How Goku got uncomfortable with needles but was fine with Piccolo putting a hole in his chest she will never understand. Minutes later while ChiChi dressed Gohan and Dr. Barkley put her materials back in her bag, Gyu-Mao entered. “Sorry for interrupting but lunch is ready. How is everyone?”
“ChiChi and Gohan are doing well,” Dr. Barkley zipped up her bag. “Your grandson is very special. ChiChi, let’s make the next appointment two months from today.”
Noticing Dr. Barkley gathering her things, Gyu-Mao asked, “Would you like to stay for lunch, Dr. Barkley?”
“Oh, no,” she declined. “I have to get back to my office. I have other appointments today.”
“Then I’ll walk you out,” Gyu-Mao offered. To Goku and ChiChi, he said, “Don’t wait for me. Go eat.”
Gyu-Mao and Dr. Barkley spoke casually as they walked from several floors of the castle, among the happy staff to the isolated parking grounds where Dr. Barkley kept her car. It was here, where they were alone, Gyu-Mao spoke what was on his mind.
“So, how is my family?”
“ChiChi’s doing very well. She’s made a full recovery from giving birth. Gohan’s in excellent health. Goku’s nervous about the vaccination shots I gave Gohan but given his pedigree it’s probably a placebo to him.”
“You took blood from Gohan’s appointment last month. What were the results?”
Dr. Barkley opened her car door and placed her medical bag inside. “Like his father’s but he has his mother’s blood, too.” She leaned against the car door. “I guess you can say it’s a perfect mixture of human and alien blood.” In response to her words, Gyu-Mao remained silent. “Your Majesty, I appreciate you telling me about Goku. I have kept it a secret and I will continue to do so but you must tell Goku and ChiChi about this. They deserve to know.”
“The time isn’t right.”
“There may never be a perfect time but this is something they should know.” Initially, she understood Gyu-Mao’s reasons for not telling Goku and ChiChi and she understood Gyu-Mao was vulnerable himself when he told her everything but now she felt guilt for knowing something Goku and ChiChi didn’t know. “Goku and Gohan appear normal now but at some point, something will happen that will reveal they are not normal. When that happens, it’s better Goku and ChiChi are prepared and not shocked later.”
The doctor had a point but Gyu-Mao knew better. He had this secret for years. She’s only recently learned about this and he knew his family better than her. On this, he wasn’t going to budge.
Dawn’s light found its way into Goku and ChiChi’s room. Goku usually rose with the sun to exercise but this morning, he stared at ChiChi as she slept. Ever since her pregnancy, ChiChi’s body went through changes. She got bigger because Gohan was growing in her. Gohan was no longer in her but ChiChi wasn’t as small as before. He didn’t mind. It bothered ChiChi as she vowed to get back to her size. Whatever free time ChiChi found between cooking, cleaning and caring for Gohan, ChiChi exercised. She was getting smaller. He noticed muscles that faded during her pregnancy were returning. However, there was one area that hadn’t changed.
ChiChi’s breasts.
ChiChi had a nice size. It took Goku a while before he noticed ChiChi’s breasts appeared smaller in the clothes she wore but at night time when she wore lesser clothes her breasts were bigger. Her breasts grew while pregnant. Goku understood it had to do with the milk growing in her body for Gohan.
He probably shouldn’t be but he was envious of Gohan. He touched ChiChi in a way he hadn’t in months. When he would try, ChiChi said no; saying they should wait until she had weaned Gohan.
Goku wasn’t sure he could wait that long. He understood ChiChi’s body needed to recover after giving birth but since Dr. Barkley gave the approval for intimacy, it was hard waiting for ChiChi. A few times, he initiated things but ChiChi wasn’t in the mood; she was tired or she was uncomfortable with her body. There were times she used Gohan as an excuse. When they sparred together, Goku always wanted to fool around with ChiChi. When he tried to steal a kiss or touch, ChiChi always slipped out of his grasp saying she had to check on Gohan.
It always worked. Gohan was a weak spot for him. When ChiChi mentioned she needed to check on Gohan, he always allowed ChiChi to check on him even when he figured out she was using their child as a shield.
As his eyes followed the rise and fall of ChiChi’s breasts, Goku felt temptation sinking in. If he couldn’t touch her, perhaps it was okay to seek comfort in her scent. Goku shifted closer to ChiChi. He buried his nose in her neck and inhaled. Ah, she smelled so good.
Would it hurt to kiss her here?
Goku kissed ChiChi’s neck. No response from ChiChi. He kissed her again, opening his mouth to suck the skin on her neck. ChiChi shifted slightly. Goku pulled away to gaze at ChiChi. He bit his lower lip as his eyes focused on her breasts again. He noticed the peaks pointing from the thin fabric of her gown.
Would it hurt if he touch her here?
Kissing her neck again, one hand touched a breast; his thumb rubbed the harden nipple. A slight moan escaped ChiChi’s lips. Feeling bold, Goku slipped his hand inside her gown to squeeze the soft flesh with his bare hand while his thumb continued to play with her nipple.
ChiChi shifted and her eyes suddenly opened. Hearing her heavy breath, Goku pulled away. His nervous eyes met ChiChi’s. He was touching ChiChi where she told him not to. She will get mad but he couldn’t help it. He wanted intimacy so badly.
Eyes locked on each other, ChiChi took Goku’s hand off her breast. She moved it down between her legs.
Goku grinned at the approval. Finally!! He slid down her body. He push her gown over her hips but ChiChi’s hands kept him from going further. With a tug, he pulled her panties down her legs. ChiChi raised a leg, helping Goku removed them. He settled between her legs again and licked his lips. Her scent was a magnetic pull to him.
ChiChi cried feeling Goku’s tongue lick her. She panted as his tongue thrust inside her. “OH!” He heard her. “Mmmm.”
Goku rose briefly to say, “I miss tasting you, ChiChi.”
ChiChi gasped and her hips jerked as Goku nearly slammed his mouth between her legs again, sucking her tasty juices and inhaling her sweet scent. He licked, nibbled fast and slow, taking his time wanting to punish ChiChi for making him wait so long.
ChiChi pressed her foot into Goku’s back while Goku held her other leg pinned down while he feasted. “Faster,” she pleaded. But with his deliberate teasing, his expert way in knowing which spots to touch to get a whimper or scream from her, she knew he was slowly burning her into an intense orgasm and she loved it! Not only was she feeling pleasure between her legs but she was feeling it on her breasts and Goku wasn’t touching them. It was strange. Her breasts weren’t receiving any manual stimulation but she felt it throbbing, almost tingling as Goku pleasured her between her legs.
Eyes shut, she cried out as she peaked. From her head to her toes, her body tingled at the sweet release. A dreamy smile was on her face as she laid in a sweet daze of pleasure until she noticed something different. Her chest was wet. She opened her eyes and gasped. “Oh, no.”
Goku who was busy lapping ChiChi’s essence, raised his head from between her legs. There were wet spots on ChiChi’s nipples. Before he could ask, ChiChi covered her breasts.
“Don’t look!”
“Why?” Goku asked worried. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s embarrassing.”
Goku put his hands over ChiChi’s and removed them from her breasts. He stared at the wetness over her covered nipples. Curious, he tugged the gown down exposing her breasts. “You’re dripping.”
“I’m fuller in the mornings,” ChiChi quietly explained. This was humiliating. She normally had this taken care of before Goku noticed. She didn’t want to explain but knew if she didn’t, Goku would question her until he got an answer. “A lot of milk builds up when I sleep at night. It’s why I feed Gohan first thing in the morning or pump the milk out.”
Goku slowly nodding remembering ChiChi pump milk from her breasts with a strange device. “So, you’re leaking because you’re full?” A slow nod from ChiChi. “You need to get rid of the milk.”
“Yes. I didn’t know intimacy could stimulate it.” ChiChi looked over at the baby monitor. Gohan was still asleep. “I should get the breast pump.”
ChiChi sat up but Goku put a hand on her shoulder to keep her still. Goku had an idea how to get rid of the milk. He latched onto a breast. His tongue licked the tip of her nipple testing the milk. He followed up with gentle sucking.
ChiChi sucked in a breath. “Goku…..” she struggled to push him away. “It’s for Goh….mmm.”
Goku pulled away momentarily. He licked his wet lips. “You need to get rid of the milk and you taste good.” He grinned wickedly. “Besides, I always wanted to try it.”
“Go….!” Her scolding voice melted into a sigh as Goku sucked her breast again, drinking her milk, stimulating her. This is wrong she tried to tell herself. This milk was for Gohan but damn this man that is her husband was turning her on with his sucking, his nips and kisses. She could feel her breasts swelling, more moisture pooling between her legs.
Goku abruptly pulled away much too soon for ChiChi. She panted, “Why did you stop?”
“Could you help me now?” he begged. “It’s getting kind of tight.”
ChiChi looked down and noticed Goku’s penis poking in his boxers. “Oh.” ChiChi grabbed the waistband of Goku’s boxers and pulled it down. Goku’s hard penis sprang free. He was tight and leaking, too.
Goku’s head fell back with a groan as ChiChi took him in her mouth. He gripped the sheets. He needed this. It’s been too long. ChiChi’s warm mouth felt so good. Her tongue…..”Ah!” he felt it sweep over his length, felt the pull of her lips sucking him. “ChiChi!” He groaned feeling her tongue lick his leaking head; her teeth gently grazed him. So close….so close….almost…..
Soft whimpers filtered through the baby monitor. Goku opened one eye then two. What was…?
The whimpers grew to soft cries.
Gohan?
Immediately, Goku felt ChiChi’s warm mouth pull away from him. He looked down at his throbbing penis. He was still hard. ChiChi couldn’t leave him like this!
“ChiChi?”
ChiChi entered the bathroom. “Bring Gohan in here. I need to wash my breasts.”
“Whaa….?” No! He was so close! She could take care of him and then go to Gohan. “ChiChi!”
ChiChi stepped in the doorway. She rubbed a wet towel over her breasts. Goku frowned, feeling insulted. Was she cleaning herself because he had his mouth there? “Don’t stand there. Get Gohan.”
“But..?” he whined pointing at his hard penis.
“Oh, for the love of…” ChiChi dropped the towel in a hamper. Gohan’s soft cries turned into wails over the monitor. “Never mind. I’ll get him. Just take care of that. Go outside and blow some Kamehameha Waves.”
“But…” Goku whimpered. ChiChi was gone and Goku was left in an uncomfortable position.
This, he decided, was getting out of hand.
Goku didn’t return home until breakfast. With each passing month, Gohan slept longer and ChiChi got better at balancing her housewife duties and caring for Gohan. ChiChi was back to the preparing all the meals but Goku continued to help out. He cleaned the breakfast and lunch dishes. He would even help with the laundry by sorting the clothes ChiChi cleaned.
Gohan was a bright child. At four months, Gohan learned to crawl. ChiChi thought Gohan’s skills developing so quickly meant Gohan was very smart and will need to channel that mental strength into books. Goku saw it differently. He didn’t doubt his son was smart but he saw Gohan’s fast developing skills as a sign he was strong and that physical strength needed to be challenged.
While ChiChi kept busy cleaning the rooms this morning, Goku decided to test Gohan’s strength.
Goku placed Gohan on the floor. Sitting, Gohan stared up at Goku. He didn’t like this. He wanted to be up high in his father’s arms. He didn’t want to be on the floor alone. Gohan raised his short arms, expecting his father to pick him up.
Goku only smiled and shook his head. He walked to the other side of the room. He waved his hands. “Come on, Gohan. Crawl to Daddy.”
Instead of crawling, Gohan held his arms out to Goku crying. Goku got on his hands and knees and crawled. “Come on, Gohan. Crawl like this. You did it before.”
Still crying, Gohan dropped to his side and rolled on his stomach. Crying, Gohan crawled towards Goku. He stood and encouraged Gohan. “Come on. Crawl to Daddy.” Halfway to Goku, Gohan stopped crawling and sat up, breathing hard. His tears stopped, too. Goku smiled and waved Gohan to him. Rested, Gohan got on all fours again and crawled to Goku. As Gohan was a touch away from grabbing Goku’s pants, Goku flipped out of Gohan’s grasps.
A strange murmur resembling, “Huh?” passed Gohan’s lips. Gohan looked around wondering where his father went until he spotted him on the other side of the room. Turning his short body around, Gohan crawled again to Goku. Just as Gohan reached Goku, he jumped out of the way. Instead of a sound of confusion, Gohan laughed. This was a game now. He crawled faster to Goku, determined to catch his father. Goku laughed jumping out of the way. Gohan giggled, too, liking this game.
“Goku?” ChiChi called distracting Goku. Instead of jumping like he planned, he remained where he was allowing Gohan to reach him. Gohan squealed in triumph as he wrapped his arms around Goku’s long leg.
Gohan’s happy squeal brought a smile to ChiChi. His arms were tight around Goku as he struggled to turn his body around to face his wife. “What are you doing?”
“Helping Gohan crawl and getting him to burn his energy so he’s not fussy when it’s naptime.”
ChiChi kissed his cheek, touched at Goku’s determination to help out. “Thank you. Maybe when Gohan takes his nap, I can clean this room. Might have time for a nap myself.”
Goku plucked Gohan’s arms from his leg. Gohan started to cry until he was nestled against Goku’s chest. “Do you think we can take a nap together, ChiChi?”
“A nap?”
“Yeah. While Gohan is napping, I’ll clean the lunch dishes, then you can clean this room. Afterwards, we can nap together.”
The emphasis of nap turned ChiChi’s cheeks pink. The look in Goku’s eyes turned them red. “Goku, don’t talk like that in front of Gohan!”
Oblivious, Gohan chewed the strap of Goku’s tank shirt. “Ah, he’s not understanding that, ChiChi.”
“Goku,” she sighed, “I understand you want to take a nap but there’s not time. When Gohan is older….”
“There was time this morning,” Goku disagreed. “Would’ve been our first in months. Come on,” he urged. “Gohan’s sleeping longer, I’m helping out and you liked what I did to you this morning. It’s my turn, too.”
ChiChi couldn’t think of a fair argument. She did enjoy this morning until Gohan’s crying interrupted them. She welcomed that release and she knew Goku was frustrated and needed some relief, too. Perhaps, after lunch she could satisfy him there. Of course Goku will want more than oral pleasure. He wanted to be physical, too and she…..
A rapid knocking at the door saved her from thinking anymore on the tense subject. ChiChi went to the door, happy for the interruption. “Dad!” ChiChi greeted her father. Gyu-Mao stood on the other end holding several wrapped boxes.
“I hope you don’t mind me dropping by,” the giant ruler of Fire Mountain village stepped in the home. He placed several boxes on the sofa. “I brought gifts for my grandson: clothes, toys and books.”
“Oh, Dad,” ChiChi groaned. “You’re gonna spoil Gohan.”
“It’s my grandson. I’m allowed to spoil him.”
“Then stay for lunch,” ChiChi offered. “Goku, why don’t you and Dad take Gohan for a walk while I get lunch ready?”
Gyu-Mao smiled wryly at Goku. “She’s kicking us out. What did you do?” he teased Goku who responded with a weak laugh.
Gohan babbled as Goku and Gyu-Mao walked through the forest. It wasn’t often he and Goku talked. Most time he visited, Gyu-Mao spoke with his daughter while Goku was in the forest training. Goku made a silly face for Gohan who burst into laughter. As Gyu-Mao studied Goku, he noticed the baby bag on Goku’s shoulder and how comfortable he looked holding Gohan. It was surreal to Gyu-Mao. He met Goku as a rude baby who hit his daughter. He met him years later, ready to help him put out the fire around his castle. A year ago he was a confused young man honoring his promise. Now, Goku, world strongest man, a year ago was a married man and father.
They stopped at a lake where Goku stripped out of his clothes and hunted a fish to go with dinner. After Goku dressed, he checked on Gohan who crawled on Gyu-Mao. For Gohan, crawling on Gyu-Mao was like climbing a mountain. Goku noticed his wet diaper and changed him. Gyu-Mao insisted he can do it but Goku wanted to. That made Gyu-Mao happy to see Goku take his responsibility as father strongly. “You’re good with him. Fatherhood suits you, Goku.”
Goku grinned as he fastened Gohan in his onesie. “Thanks.
“I was happy you and ChiChi were having a child but I was nervous, too. You’re both so young and inexperienced but you’re handling it well.”
Goku kept Gohan on his lap and entertained the child with a toy rattle. “I didn’t know babies cried so much. Gohan used to sleep only two hours before waking up and crying for a diaper or ChiChi’s milk. Even after he was fed and had a diaper changed, he would cry.” Gohan took the rattle from Goku’s hand and put it in his mouth. Goku pulled the rattle out which caused Gohan to cry. Goku shook the rattle to entertain Gohan but the child kept crying. Having an idea what the problem was, Goku put the rattle back in the bag, took out a bottle and fed Gohan.
Gohan quiet down sucking sweet liquid in the bottle. “Sometimes ChiChi would get upset with herself because she didn’t know how to settle Gohan. He has a lot of energy. Grandpa said I had lot of energy and he would pull my tail to settle me. We tried it on Gohan. It works.”
“Taking care of a baby can be exhausting.” Gyu-Mao had a staff to help him and his wife so he knew it was a struggle for Goku and ChiChi to care for Gohan. “ChiChi’s mother had her staff to help but it’s only you and ChiChi. I can see it in her eyes. She’s tired.”
Goku replaced the empty bottle with a second one. “Gohan keeps ChiChi up but I’ve been helping her.”
“Is she taking care of you?” Gyu-Mao asked. “She’s a mother now but ChiChi can’t forget her role as wife.”
Goku wasn’t sure if he should answer but he was getting frustrated. After this morning and before her father’s arrival, ChiChi wouldn’t give an answer if they could resume marital relations. Gyu-Mao also told him he was his son now and Goku could come to him if he needed, too. “I miss being with her,” Goku admitted after a moment of silence.
Gyu-Mao understood enough to know what that meant. “Well, it happens especially after a baby. The mother is so focused on the baby she forgets the husband. She’s also worried you may not like the changes of her body.”
“I like ChiChi’s body!”
Gyu-Mao laughed at Goku’s quick response. “That’s good you do but it’s not easy convincing the woman that.” He stood and grabbed the fish. He had an idea on how to fix this. “Let’s head back. I have a way to help you two.”
Lunch was ready when the men returned. While Goku and Gyu-Mao ate, ChiChi privately fed Gohan and put him in his crib for his nap. When ChiChi returned to the kitchen, she cleared the empty dishes and filled the sink with hot water.
“You look tired, ChiChi,” Gyu-Mao observed his daughter.
“I’m a new mom, Dad,” ChiChi said with a smile. “I’ll sacrifice anything for Gohan.”
“Yes, you two are doing it on your own.” Gyu-Mao looked over at his son-in-law who happily ate his food. “Your mother had help from the staff. Why don’t I take Gohan for a couple days? Let you get some sleep.”
ChiChi was horrified. Be apart from her child? “Gohan’s my son. I’m his mother. It’s my job to take care of him.”
“Of course, ChiChi, but I’m his Grandpa and I like to spend time with him, too. Besides, he should spend time in his future home.”
“Oh, Dad,” ChiChi drawled. “It’s too early to talk about Gohan being ruler over the village.”
“I know you want him to get an education. I support that but he should do something with it.”
“Gohan’s only four months old. Too early, Dad.”
Gyu-Mao backed down. “All right, but at least let me take Gohan for a couple days. I want to spend time with my grandson. You and Goku can relax for a couple days; get some sleep, spend time together and pick Gohan up refreshed.”
Spend time? The dish in ChiChi’s hands slipped back in the water. Goku wouldn’t have told her father they haven’t been intimate yet, would he? She knew he was anxious for them to be intimate but Goku wouldn’t have mentioned their lack of intimacy and her father wouldn’t have taken it upon himself to take Gohan to give them some time alone, would he?
ChiChi observed her husband at the table. The look on his face. If it was possible, ChiChi swore her sweet, innocent husband looked evil. ChiChi turned away, feeling her cheeks burn. He did! He told her father!
“I’ll take Gohan today,” Gyu-Mao offered.
“Today?” ChiChi whirled back to face them. “But it’s so soon. Gohan’s still adjusting.” That was a weak excuse! “I…. I need pack.”
“Gohan is sleeping longer, he knows my voice and face. He won’t be scared being alone with me.” His daughter was a stubborn one but so was he. He wasn’t backing down. Sometimes his daughter didn’t know what was best for her. “I’ll wait until you pack Gohan’s things.”
From her father’s firm stance on the matter, it was settled and no amount of arguing will change her father’s mind. He was stubborn like an ox. Just like her. ChiChi turned her back on them and resumed cleaning the dishes. The dish in ChiChi’s hand cracked. She will make Goku pay for this. “Sure, Dad. Thanks for taking Gohan a couple of days. I could use some sleep. That’s all I will do with Gohan gone. Just sleep.”
Three hours later, a tearful ChiChi said goodbye to Gohan. She knew he was in safe hands but this will be the first time she will be without her son. She appreciated the break and promised to use her time wisely. She will catch up on sleep, tidy the home and adjust the clothes her father brought for Gohan’s tail.
As for her husband, he can figure out how to take care of himself! She wasn’t giving in!
Goku made no moves on ChiChi once Gyu-Mao left. ChiChi expected something but Goku behaved all day. After dinner, they took a stroll through the forest where ChiChi expected something but got nothing. Her husband was smart to not bring up their marital activities. When they returned home, Goku did suggest ChiChi join him for a soak in the cauldron but she promptly shut him down.
Goku accepted her refusal and cheerfully told her he’ll soak alone. It wasn’t surprising Goku returned to their room naked. It was surprising Goku didn’t put on any clothes. Goku was married to her long enough to wear boxers to bed, but tonight, he didn’t. He was tempting her but ChiChi resisted. She didn’t care Goku went to bed naked. She didn’t care he smell so good from his bath. She wasn’t giving in.
ChiChi shut off the lights, turned her back on him and closed her eyes. She wasn’t giving in. It didn’t matter Goku snuggled close to her so she could feel his naked body against her. It didn’t matter if he occasionally groped her before he fell asleep. Goku had a will of steel but so did she. She will win this one.
When ChiChi awakened the next morning, she felt rested. Her anger at Goku and overall exhaustion pulled her into a deep sleep. She looked at the clock on her nightstand. Amazing. She slept ten hours.
She was relieved Goku was no longer pressed against her. During the night, he must’ve pulled away in his sleep. ChiChi grabbed the phone on the nightstand and dialed her father’s castle.
A staff on the other line quickly alerted her father. She waited a few minutes before she heard her father’s voice. “Good Morning, ChiChi.”
“Good Morning, Dad. How’s Gohan?”
“Gohan’s great. When I brought him, all the ladies in the castle fawned over him. They took turns feeding him, changing his diapers and gave him a nice bath before putting him to bed. He only woke up twice. The first time he needed his diaper changed. The second time I think he wanted to be held so I did.”
ChiChi was relieved Gohan’s first night away from her went well. “What is he doing now?”
“Gohan’s been fed and changed so he’s playing with Turla. She’s crawl chasing him around the room.” In the background, ChiChi could hear Gohan laughing.
“How was your night?” Gyu-Mao asked. “Did you get enough sleep? Did you and Goku spend time together?”
ChiChi looked over at her husband. His back was to her so ChiChi assumed he was still sleeping. “I got plenty of sleep. So did Goku.”
Gyu-Mao sighed, heavily. “ChiChi, you and Goku should spend time together. You’re a mother but you’re also a wife.”
“We had a nice walk and talk after dinner.” ChiChi felt her anger from yesterday returning. She love her father but this was not his business. He didn’t understand.
“ChiChi, I talked to Goku. I asked how things were. I could tell he didn’t wanna say anything but for him to confess anything to me, tells me there’s an issue you two need to discuss.”
“Dad,” ChiChi warned her father.
“Gohan’s fine,” Gyu-Mao interrupted her. “I’ll call you tomorrow to let you know when I will bring Gohan back. Until then, talk to your husband.”
The phone clicked. “Dad?” She heard a dial tone. “Dad?” She stared at the phone stunned. She couldn’t believe it. He hung up the phone on her.
ChiChi put the phone back on the receiver. She glanced at Goku. He was still asleep? How could she talk to him when he didn’t understand? She rose frustrated and was suddenly pulled back to bed by a masculine leg and arm.
“Goku…..” Her breath hitch as Goku’s hand slipped under her gown, “let me go.”
Goku pressed his body against ChiChi’s. “Remember when we spent the day in bed? It was raining really hard. I didn’t wanna train. You didn’t wanna get out of bed yet. We just talked and touched.”
“After what you told my father, touching you is the last thing I wanna do with you, Goku.”
ChiChi broke from him. She rose again but Goku pulled her back down. ChiChi’s back touched the sheets while Goku straddled her. ChiChi pushed her hips up and regretted the action as she felt Goku’s naked body brushed against hers. Frustrated, she met his friendly eyes with fury. He wouldn’t get like this unless he wanted to talk so she let him have his say.
“He asked how we were doing,” Goku was thoughtful. “I’m sorry for talking to him but he wanted to help.”
ChiChi snorted. That didn’t make her feel better. “Great. Now Dad knows I’m not good at caring for my baby, my house and my husband.”
“Will you stop that!” Goku snapped. “Stop thinking you ain’t a good wife and Mom because you have trouble balancing everything! I won’t allow it!”
He did it at times but it was still surprising when Goku raised his voice at her.
“Those books said it takes time to get used to a new baby because they are demanding in their first year.”
Those books? “You read those baby books?” ChiChi had plenty lying around during her pregnancy. She told Goku he should read them but he never seem interested.
“I read two.” After finding ChiChi crying that night, Goku decided to read those books. He wished he did it while ChiChi was pregnant. He would’ve been prepared for how ChiChi acted since Gohan’s birth. It explained so much! “It warned we will lose sleep; we won’t be doing things we did before the baby came. It told me what’s going on with you and what I can do to help. I know this ain’t easy and you’re going through a lot more than me but stop putting so much pressure on yourself.”
“Goku….I….” She was caught off guard. She noticed how Goku helped around the house and helped with Gohan. She noticed him training less but Goku always seemed happy. Even with her outbursts, he remained optimistic while she cried and was irritable. If he read those books, then it meant he did understand. She could talk to him. She smiled ruefully. “I still miss it sometimes how you can hide so much behind that smile of yours.”
As if on cue, Goku smiled. “How about we ride Nimbus?” Goku suggested. “We can go where Nimbus takes us. We can get our mind off things and just relax.”
ChiChi noticed the tension ease from Goku’s face and the familiar smile she’d come to know and love returned. Her sweet husband. “Later,” she told him. “Move up.”
“Move up?” Goku repeated. He was lost. “Where?”
“Move your body up.”
“Umm….” Goku didn’t understand. He kept his arms on both sides of her and moved. He didn’t understand what ChiChi wanted but he moved until he was straddling over her breasts. “Like this?”
“A little more.”
Goku did what he was told. He didn’t understand but he trusted ChiChi. Now he was over her face. “Like this? Why do you…..” he fell forward and gripped the headboard as ChiChi took him in her mouth. After a shuddering breath, Goku steadied himself and adjusted as ChiChi feasted on him.
That morning Goku found relief. Later that day, Goku and ChiChi agreed to let Gyu-Mao keep Gohan an extra day.
ChiChi hummed to herself as she bounced around the kitchen setting up decorations. Today was a special day. Today was Goku’s birthday. Well, it was the date selected by her and Goku for them to celebrate. Instead of planning alone, ChiChi had a special helper with her. Her son, Gohan.
ChiChi knew for Goku less was best. Past birthday celebrations taught ChiChi Goku didn’t want a lot of gifts or attention. He liked things simple. Still, it was Goku’s special day and ChiChi wanted to celebrate him. Goku will have to deal with the attention whether he liked it or not.
Gohan tied his last balloon to a string and handed it to his mother. “Thank you, Gohan.”
“Will Daddy like the balloons, Mommy?”
ChiChi tied the balloon to the chair of balloons Goku will sit in. “Of course he will.”
ChiChi told Goku to hunt a fish for dinner. With Goku away, ChiChi and Gohan rushed as fast as they could to set up the balloons and streamers. Once they finished decorating, Gohan sat on the sofa wearing his party hat and looking out the window to see his father return from the forest while ChiChi finished decorating the cake. ChiChi added the final candles on Goku’s cake when Gohan nearly screamed. “Daddy’s coming, Mommy! Daddy’s coming!”
“Hurry, Gohan.” Gohan rushed in the kitchen while ChiChi quickly lit the candles. ChiChi turned off the lights then hid with Gohan behind the table.
Goku entered his house. Why was it dark? He could’ve sworn he saw lights on as he approached his home. He felt his wife and son’s Ki while he removed his boots. They were fine so Goku knew nothing was wrong but why were the lights out? He saw candlelight coming from the kitchen. He felt his wife and son’s Ki here, too. Goku entered the kitchen and flipped on the lights. “Hey, ChiChi! I’m back. I got the fish, but what happened to the lights?” The lights flickered on. He saw a banner reading, “Happy Birthday, Goku!” There were streamers and balloons hanging over the room and one chair had several balloons tied on the back of it.
“What the……”
“Happy Birthday!” ChiChi and Gohan jumped from their hiding spot.
“Oh.” It was that time of year again. ChiChi was insistent they celebrate his birthday but Goku thought it was silly. He didn’t know his true birthdate and the one they decided on was made up. It was pointless to him.
Gohan ran to him and wrapped his arms around his long leg. One of his hands held the party hat Gohan wanted Goku to wear. “Happy Birthday, Daddy!” Goku picked up Gohan. Goku grinned as Gohan put the party hat on him. Gohan liked these celebrations. Goku recalled how he and ChiChi would spend time decorating for Gohan’s birthday. Goku still thought celebrating being a year older as silly but at least Gohan’s birthdate was real. Gohan’s happiness at the decorations and gifts always melted Goku’s criticism but knowing his son helped today and seeing Gohan’s excitement and happiness for him, Goku thought maybe celebrating his birthday wasn’t so pointless or silly after all.
Goku sat in the balloon chair with Gohan in his lap. “Did you and Mommy decorate this room?”
Gohan nodded. “Uh-huh. Do you like it?”
“I love it.” He sniffed. The food ChiChi had laid out smelled wonderful, too. “Food smells great, ChiChi.”
“I helped Momma with that, too,” Gohan piped up.
“You did?” Goku was impressed. The kitchen was ChiChi’s domain and she didn’t usually accept help. “That’s a great birthday gift.”
Gohan giggled. “No, Daddy. The food isn’t your gift.” He pointed to the wrapped gifts on the table with the birthday cake. “Those are your gifts.”
“Before Daddy opens his gifts,” ChiChi diverted her husband and son back to the cake, “he has to blow out the candles and make a wish.”
“Okay,” Goku agreed. “But, Gohan, I need your help blowing out these candles.”
ChiChi held up a camera. “Smile, you two.” Goku and Gohan smiled widely as ChiChi took a picture. “Okay. Now.”
Goku and Gohan blew out the candles together. While ChiChi cut slices of cake for the three, Gohan pointed to the presents on the table. “Open your gifts, Daddy.”
Goku pointed at the food. “I really wanna eat this yummy food, Gohan.”
“After your presents,” Gohan insisted.
Goku stared at his son in awe. The look on his face; the cute determination that his father listens to him. Gohan’s expression reminded Goku of looks ChiChi would send him. “Okay,” Goku easily gave in. “I’ll open the presents.”
Goku picked up a box wrapped in blue and silver wrapping. He read the note attached to it. “It’s from you, Gohan.” Goku peeled the wrappings not expecting what was in the box. “A cooler?”
“For your training,” Gohan explained. “You always leave home without food and you come home starving. Mommy will make lunches for you so won’t be so hungry when you come home.”
“Thanks, Gohan. I’ll definitely use this.” He patted the cooler. “I can’t wait for Mommy to fill it with her yummy food.”
Goku put the cooler aside and grabbed another box. “ChiChi,” he read the card grinning. He tore the wrappings and opened the box. Inside was a replica of his weighted boots. “New boots!”
“Your current ones are getting worn.”
That was true. The strings were coming loose and the boots were tearing in a few places. Goku had considered going to Kami’s Temple for a new one. It’s been a few years since he’s seen Kami and wondered if he would honor Goku’s request since he turned down the offer to be God of Earth.
Goku put aside the boots and opened his next present from ChiChi. His eyes lit up. “Wow! A new fighting gi!” He touched the blue shirt amazed it was heavy like the one he wore. It was getting worn from years of wear and tear, too.
“I went to many shops but I found someone who could make those heavy shirts.”
“Thanks, ChiChi!” Goku grabbed the last box. It was bigger than the other boxes and longer, too. Goku read the card. “This is for you and me, Gohan.”
Father and son looked to ChiChi for an explanation. ChiChi grinned. “Open it and see.”
Together, Goku and Gohan peeled the wrappings and opened the box. Inside was a sleeping bag and a camping backpack. Again father and son looked to ChiChi to explain.
“Gohan’s old enough to go camping with his Daddy.” It was something Goku talked with ChiChi about since Gohan could walk but ChiChi was against it since she thought Gohan was too young for camping. Goku was happy ChiChi finally changed her mind on that topic.
The night carried on with laughs, more pictures, popping balloons, great food and treasured memories the family of three will carry with them for years.
Later on that night while Gohan slept, ChiChi had one more present for Goku. Goku sat on the end of their bed with ChiChi on his lap nibbling his ear. ChiChi was always very affectionate on Goku’s birthday and she always wore special sleep clothes she called lingerie. It was very similar to what ChiChi wore on their wedding night except this material was very thin. He could see her breasts and muscled stomach in this one. He liked it a lot. He also liked on his birthday ChiChi would grant special requests for him. It was usually a sexual act or position but this time Goku had something else in mind.
“I have a request.”
“You want me on my hands and knees?” ChiChi guessed between kisses and nibbles.
“No. Well, I mean, later but I wanna know if I can I teach Gohan martial arts?”
“Goku,” ChiChi sighed, pulling away, “let’s not end your birthday with a fight.”
“Then let me teach Gohan.”
“No!” ChiChi got off Goku’s lap. The mood was ruined. “Gohan’s three years old. He doesn’t need to fight.”
“I don’t wanna teach Gohan to fight.” ChiChi narrowed her eyes at him. “Well, I do but I wanna teach Gohan martial arts because I know he’s strong. I know he has it in him. I want him to defend himself.”
“Why would a three-year-old need to defend himself?”
Good point. Goku shrugged, thinking of something. “You never know. There are dinosaurs, bears and wolves around here.” Of course those animals always stayed in their territory. However, Gohan was growing curious and has been caught exploring the forests lately looking for him while he trained.
ChiChi rolled her eyes at the excuse. “That’s how it starts. A few lessons for self-defense. A few lessons to get strong. Next thing Gohan will be abandoning his studies and focused solely on fighting. All his potential will be wasted. We have a very smart child, Goku. He shouldn’t waste his brain on martial arts when he can do so much more in the world.”
Goku rose, feeling another fight coming. “Martial arts saved this world.”
“The world’s peaceful now. Who needs martial arts? What Gohan needs is to study.” She turned her back on him. “That’s all that matters.”
When ChiChi dug in on this topic, it was hard to listen to her. Whether she knew it, her words were hurtful to Goku. In their four years together, it was the one thing where neither saw eye to eye on. “You don’t really mean that.”
“Of course I do!” ChiChi was defiant. “Gohan needs to study and focus on his education!”
“No,” he was firm as he turned her to face him. “I mean about martial arts. It brought us together.”
ChiChi scoffed. “You touching me inappropriately brought us together.”
“No,” his voice dropped again. “It was martial arts. Remember how we sparred together days before our wedding. Remember how we‘d spar here in our yard. Remember when we traveled Grandpa’s map. We trained together. We practiced martial arts together.”
ChiChi closed her eyes. She would not let the memories move her. She had to be firm on this. Gohan’s future was at stake. “That was a long time ago. We’re parents now. We need to focus on our son’s education and martial arts will have no part in it!”
“Gohan’s my son, too!” Goku raised his frustrated voice. “I wanna teach him, ChiChi!”
ChiChi knew her refusals on this subject bothered Goku and it hurt whenever she said no but she had to think about their son. “I know, Goku.” She kept herself calm. Both didn’t need to be yelling at each other. “I know he is. I know you want Gohan to learn something you love but, Goku, Gohan’s three years old. He’s a kid and it would be a waste if he challenges his body over his mind.”
“He can do both,” Goku bargained with ChiChi.
ChiChi shook her head. “No. For what you wanna teach Gohan, he will have to sacrifice his studies. You’re a perfectionist with your martial arts. It wouldn’t be an hour. It’ll be hours. It wouldn’t be a day. It would be days.” She stood before him and joined their hands together. “You see how smart Gohan is. You saw how fast he developed. Crawling at four months, walking at eight, speaking three word sentences at one years old. Think of the changes his mind can make in the world. Maybe he can change the world where it’s not reliant on one person to save them all the time.”
Goku knew ChiChi meant him. Over the years, he learned ChiChi had come to despise fighting. She didn’t hate the skill itself. She hated the dangers it brought and the risks he took. She knew he was too far gone to change or convince to live another way of life besides martial arts. Maybe it was why she was so adamant their son not follow in his footsteps.
At this point, he didn’t have a good argument. The world was peaceful now. There wasn’t a need for fighting. Well, there’s always that rematch with Piccolo but Goku was confident he was still ahead of Piccolo in strength and skill. Also, the biggest argument ChiChi made that Goku couldn’t win on was Gohan’s age. He was three years old and it was a young age to get strong like Goku wanted. Perhaps, when Gohan’s older, he could change ChiChi’s mind. At the very least, he could get Gohan on his side and they can double team ChiChi together.
“All right. Maybe now isn’t the right time. Gohan’s three. Maybe when he’s older.”
ChiChi didn’t answer. She didn’t say yes but most importantly, she didn’t say no and that gave Goku hope ChiChi will change her mind.
ChiChi sat with Gohan as he worked his lessons at the kitchen table. Dinner cooked on the stove and in the oven. ChiChi made more today than yesterday. Goku was returning home. He left three days ago for intense training. Goku exercised everyday but there were days where Goku wanted to isolate himself for grueling training. ChiChi allowed Goku to do this on the promise it was only for three days. So after packing his camping gear and providing Goku food that was surely gone the first day he left, Goku left his family. Goku never stayed away longer than he promised and when he returned, he focused on his family and what they did while he was gone.
Gohan grinned at the sudden knock. “Is it Daddy?”
“Daddy wouldn’t knock. Finish this last page and you can play the rest of the day.”
“Okay, Mommy,” Gohan quickly finished his work while ChiChi answered the door. “Aki!” She happily greeted the family friend.
“Hello, ChiChi. How are you?” Aki stepped in the home. He spotted Gohan at the kitchen table. “Gohan! Give Uncle Aki a high five!”
“Hi, Mr. Aki!” Gohan greeted his father’s friend by slapping Aki’s raised hand. Though Gohan was a shy child around new people, Gohan was used to Aki’s presence. Every few months or so, Aki would come by for a visit or he would see them in King Gyu-Mao’s village.
Aki looked over Gohan’s shoulder at his workbook. “Whatcha doin’, Squirt?”
“Homework,” Gohan answered.
“Homework?” Aki turned to ChiChi. She had her back to him as she grabbed a pitcher of lemonade from the refrigerator. “They give homework in preschool?”
“It’s work I assign Gohan,” ChiChi explained. “Gohan’s ahead in some lessons. I want him to be challenged.”
Aki laughed, “It’s preschool, ChiChi. What do you expect?” He sat in the chair that ChiChi occupied. “I’m not sure why Gohan’s in preschool anyway. Let him enjoy another year with you and Goku before he’s locked in a classroom with other kids.”
ChiChi grabbed two glasses from the cabinet. “That’s exactly why I want Gohan in preschool. He’s lived his whole life out here with his father and me and get visits from his Grandpa and you. The nearest neighbor is ten miles and it’s an old couple. He’s isolated. I want Gohan to socialize with kids and have friends his age. I want him to have a normal life.”
In other words, something different from his father Aki figured. He couldn’t blame ChiChi. Goku’s life was adventurous but even he didn’t think it was something a kid should experience. “Is Goku here?”
ChiChi poured Aki a glass of lemonade. “He’s on a training mission. He’s coming back today. How’s your sister?” Aki’s sister, Lara got married this spring. Goku, ChiChi and Gohan attended the wedding.
“Good.” He thanked ChiChi for the lemonade. “I still think she’s too young to get married.”
“She’s 19,” ChiChi defended his sister. “I was younger when I married Goku.”
“I know and Lara uses your marriage as a perfect argument for her to marry young.” He sipped his drink. “Lara and her husband went to Papaya Island on their honeymoon. They went by the World Martial Arts Museum. She said there’s a whole section dedicated to Goku.”
“Really?” ChiChi poured herself a glass of lemonade. “The announcer did tell us they were turning the tournament grounds into a museum. I guess we should see it.”
“It’s probably not as busy now summer is over.” Aki drunk more of his drink. “You should see it as soon as you can.”
ChiChi made a mental note to bring it up to Goku when the door opened followed by, “I’m back!”
Gohan dropped his pencil and jumped out of his seat. He ran to the door. “Daddy!”
“Whoa, Gohan!” Goku’s cheerful voice could be heard. “Let me put my gear down.”
Goku entered the kitchen with Gohan in his arms. “Smells great in here, ChiChi. I’m starving!” He spotted Aki at the table. “Hi, Aki.”
“Goku,” Aki acknowledged his friend with a nod as he drunk his lemonade. He observed Goku greet ChiChi with a hug while she slipped in a kiss on his cheek.
Goku sat in the chair once occupied by Gohan. Aki noticed Gohan holding an orange three star ball in his hand. “What’s that your Daddy gave you, Gohan?”
Gohan rubbed the smooth ball. “It’s a dragon ball.”
Aki noticed it matched the one he saw Gohan wearing at the Spring and Fall Festivals this year. He assumed it was toy balls Goku was collecting for his son. ChiChi handed Goku a glass of lemonade. She noticed the ball in Gohan’s hands. “You found another one.”
“Three now. Four to go,” Goku eagerly drunk his glass of lemonade. “When will dinner be ready?”
“Another hour but you’re cleaning up first.” ChiChi addressed Aki. “Are you staying for dinner, Aki?”
Aki shook his head as he finished his drink. “Nah. I only came by to drop this off.” Aki handed Goku an envelope.
Goku opened the envelope. He read the card then looked at Aki surprised. “You’re getting married?”
“Married?” ChiChi clapped her hands joyfully! “Ah! You and Reia are tying the knot?” Reia was Aki’s girlfriend for two years.
“Yeah,” Aki admitted bashfully. “I figured it was time. After Lara got married, I knew it was a matter of time before Mom hounded me about marriage and Reia’s the one. I’ve been dragging my feet in doing the right thing.”
“Congratulations,” ChiChi told him. “Reia will make a beautiful bride and be a wonderful wife for you.”
“Wedding’s in three months but I thought I’d ask now if Gohan would like to be a ring bearer at my wedding and if Goku wouldn’t mind standing with me at the altar.”
“What’s a ring bearer?” Gohan asked.
“That means you walk down the aisle holding a pillow that carries the rings Reia and I will give each other when we marry,” Aki explained. “Can you do that, Gohan?”
Gohan immediately looked up at his mother. “Can I, Mommy?”
ChiChi thought it was a fine idea. “If you wanna, yes.”
“I want to,” Gohan told his mother.
“Then it’s settled.” ChiChi wasn’t as accepting of Aki’s offer for Goku. “When you say you want Goku to stand with you, do you mean Goku will be your best man? Planning your bachelor party?”
Aki laughed waving his hands. “No, no, no.” He laughed so hard. “Goku’s idea of a bachelor party would be us fighting. Kaifun will handle that. I just want Goku to stand with me when I get married like I did for him.”
ChiChi relaxed. “That sounds fine.” She rest her hands on Goku’s shoulders. “Goku, do you wanna?”
It sounded easy enough to do. Aki was a good friend to him over the years. He gave him advice that helped him in his marriage to ChiChi and being a father to Gohan. If this is what Aki wanted, then yes, he will stand with him at his wedding.
“Come on, ChiChi!” Goku sat on Nimbus with Gohan in his lap. “Let’s go!”
“I’m coming.” ChiChi closed the door as she stepped out of their home with a blanket in her hands and a purse slung over a shoulder. “I wanna bring a snack.” She patted the capsules in her purse. “It’s a long trip and you two will get hungry.” ChiChi settled on Nimbus besides Goku. She wrapped the blanket around both of them. It was still dark and cool. “Are you sure we should take Nimbus? It’s a long trip and Gohan may get fussy. Maybe we should take a plane.”
“He’ll be fine.” Goku secured the blanket over Gohan, making sure he was kept warm. “Gohan likes Nimbus.” He felt ChiChi wrap an arm around his waist and lean on him before Nimbus flew off.
Seeing the happiness on Goku’s face, ChiChi knew she made the right decision to suggest this trip to Papaya Island. Goku was so excited to go but it was a long trip to Papaya Island from Mount Paouz. The family of three had to make a stop after dawn to eat and refresh themselves before they continued their trip.
When the family arrived on Papaya Island, Goku felt he stepped back in time. Last time he was here, this entire area was covered in dirt. There were damages of cars, homes, and power outages everywhere. Homes and buildings suffered greatly but Papaya Island did recover from the damage inflicted by his fight with Piccolo.
After checking in their hotel, Goku, ChiChi and Gohan went to the World Martial Arts Tournament Museum. The building itself looked as it did five years ago. There were several people walking around, taking pictures and making famous martial art poses.
Gohan looked around shy but curious hanging on his father’s every word as he talked about the tournaments he participated in. Rooms that were once reserved only for the fighters were opened to the public. Right now, they toured the once restricted Competition Hall.
“Hundreds of competitors fought in the preliminary rounds, Gohan,” Goku explained. “From here, it will go from over a hundred people to eight. There were some fun fights here.”
“Easy fights,” ChiChi added. “You defeated your opponents with one or two strikes.”
Goku jumped in one of the rings. “Ha. It still feels the same. Come in with me, Gohan.”
Gohan jumped but couldn’t climb in the ring like his Dad. ChiChi picked up Gohan and helped him in the ring. Gohan walked around the arena. It was so big. It was amazing to him his Daddy fought here as a child. “You fought here, Daddy?” Gohan asked in awe. “Wow. It’s so big.”
“Your Daddy was always strong, Gohan,” ChiChi told him proudly. “He easily defeated people as big as Grandpa in this place.”
Gohan’s eyes grew wide. Grandpa was huge! He knew his Daddy was the strongest man in the world but it was still amazing to his young mind to learn of the types of people and creatures his Daddy fought. No one could beat his Daddy, Gohan thought proudly. Daddy was the strongest.
The Shrine of Fighters was the newest addition to the museum. Goku, ChiChi and Gohan walked around viewing pictures of past winners and finalists of all the tournaments. When they approached the photo for the final eight at the 23rd Tournament, ChiChi let out a big groan.
“That’s the photo they used for me? It’s terrible.”
In the group photo, ChiChi stood next to Goku, looking angry.
Goku laughed. “You were angry with me.”
Gohan looked up at his parents. “Why was Mommy angry at you, Daddy?”
“I hadn’t seen Mommy in years and I forgot about her.”
He said it so casually he didn’t realize his error until Gohan’s eyes grew wide in horror. “You forgot about Mommy?”
ChiChi smirked at Goku’s stammering. “He sure did, Gohan. Wasn’t that awful of Daddy?”
Gohan nodded his head eagerly. “Hey!” Goku protested. “I didn’t mean to forget. I hadn’t seen Mommy in six years….and she was dressed differently. If Mommy wore the same outfit when we first met, I would’ve remembered her.”
Gohan turned to his mother. “Mommy, why didn’t you wear the same outfit?”
Now it was ChiChi’s turn to stammer while Goku smirked. “Well, I…. it…. it was six years ago and you don’t wear the same clothes you wear six years ago.”
“You wore it last month when we went to bed,” Goku reminded her.
“Goku!” ChiChi screamed, her face turning red. Goku clamped his hands over his mouth. “Well, I’m not wearing it again.”
Goku dropped his hands whining, “Aw, come on, ChiChi. It was fun!”
“Fun?” Gohan inquired. “What was fun?”
Goku clamped his hands over his mouth again. He looked at his wife, worried about her reaction. Instead of screaming, ChiChi walked away. Goku rushed after her. “I didn’t say anything Gohan understands.”
“You said enough,” ChiChi argued back.
Gohan watched his parents go back and forth in their conversation with Daddy pleading and Mommy saying no. He was smart enough to understand this was one of those Mommy/Daddy conversations he wasn’t old enough to understand yet.
They visited the Shrine of Goku next. It was an entire wing dedicated to Goku. There were photos of Goku everywhere from all of his appearances at the tournaments.
Memories of each battle returned to Goku but also memories he made with his friends. Thinking of the 21st Tournament, Goku shared with his family Krillin’s battle with Bacterian that disgusted ChiChi and left Gohan in giggles. He remembered his fight with Giran and how his tail saved him from losing. He remembered the fight with Jackie Chun, how exciting and long it was. He remembered meeting his friends again for the 22nd Tournament and soaring the preliminaries with ease. He talked of Pamput’s agents trying to disqualify him from their fight; his final match against Tien and coming so close to victory.
“Mommy, it’s you!” Gohan suddenly pointed at a fierce pose of ChiChi facing off against Goku in the 23rd Tournament.
“Yep. That’s me.” ChiChi stared at the photo of her kicking at Goku and him blocking it. “That’s a good photo of me.”
“Your Mommy was a tough opponent,” Goku told his son. “She had me running around the ring.”
Gohan looked at his mother in awe. “Mommy, you were that strong?”
“Were?” ChiChi laughed mockingly. “I’m still strong. I can’t beat your father but I can pin him down occasionally.” She winked at him. “I know his weak spots.”
“Really?” Gohan inquired. “What are they?” Gohan thought he could use it against his Daddy when he pinned him down for a tickle session.
ChiChi playfully tugged Gohan’s hat with the four-star dragon ball. “If I tell you, it wouldn’t be a secret.”
“Oh….” Gohan understood. Sort of. “Okay.”
As they continued to tour the shrine, visitors noticed the famous fighter in the photos was actually here in person with his family. Many approached Goku for photos and conversation. Goku was uncomfortable at the sudden attention but ChiChi encouraged him to enjoy it. Gohan looked on in awe at the number of people talking to Goku, sharing their tales of watching him in the tournaments. He saw his father’s face light up talking of his past fights. Gohan knew his father was strong. Even without the tales his parents told him of Goku’s adventures, Gohan saw that strength with his own eyes. He didn’t know his father was famous, too.
That evening Goku lied in bed wide awake. Five years ago, he was in a room just like this one. He shared it with Krillin. Now he shared it with his wife and son in a king size bed. Goku rolled on his side and stared at his sleeping wife and son.
Goku closed his eyes trying to sleep but after another hour, he gave up and slipped out of bed. He sat on the window sill and gazed at the night sky. He felt conflicted. Goku love his wife and son. They brought him joy he hadn’t ever experienced before. He love waking up to his wife, exercising in the morning, working a couple days out of the week to bring money to his family and playing with his son. He love spending time with Gohan; camping with him, flying him on Nimbus and even listen to Gohan read to him at times. Life was good and yet he wondered.
Is that all there is?
Walking in the museum, seeing his past, his matches brought back the years of training under Master Roshi, by himself and under Mr. Popo. He loved the challenge of mastering a new technique and growing stronger. He loved being challenged by a stronger fighter that forced him to dig deeper in himself to win.
As happy as he was with his family, he couldn’t deny the fact he was bored. He missed fighting. He missed the excitement of facing a strong opponent. He missed thinking on his feet to outsmart them to win.
He debated seeking out Piccolo and have their rematch. That’s how desperate for a fight he was. He knew that wouldn’t go over well with ChiChi. She was already concern about Piccolo being out here. ChiChi voiced her worry that Piccolo will find her and Gohan. She let him know more than once she didn’t like he let Piccolo get away.
You can’t always make your opponents your friends, Goku. Sometimes you have to put them down. One of these days you will regret not finishing them off.
Goku never doubted he could beat Piccolo. However, he worried Piccolo will find ChiChi or Gohan and get back at him through them. When King Piccolo’s minion killed Krillin, it was the worst feeling Goku had felt. If he lost Gohan or ChiChi by Piccolo’s hands and it was because of him… he couldn’t imagine the anger he would feel but knew there will be vengeance and he wouldn’t defeat Piccolo easily.
“I thought coming here would make you happy.”
Goku turned from the window to see ChiChi lying in bed awake. ChiChi gingerly got out of bed without waking Gohan and joined him on the windowsill. “Wanna tell me what’s on your mind?”
Goku shrugged. “Just not feeling sleepy I guess.”
ChiChi touched his face. She looked worried. “I’ve noticed you’ve been restless. You’re sad.”
Five years together and it still amazed Goku how ChiChi understood him. “I miss fighting,” Goku confessed. “I train but not as much as I used to.” He didn’t mind not training as much since he spent his time with his family. He was already very strong. He might be at his limit. “Being in that museum, I remembered my old fights. I remembered the training. I remembered the excitement I felt facing a strong opponent and I miss it.”
“You want another fight.”
Goku nodded. He knew ChiChi didn’t want to hear this but it was the truth. “Yeah.”
“Goku….” ChiChi sighed. “That part of your life is over. You’re a husband now. You’re a father.”
“I know. I like that but I wanna fight, ChiChi.”
“There are no tournaments anymore,” ChiChi told him. “And if you’re thinking of looking for Piccolo and fighting him, forget it. You’re a father. I don’t want our child to see you beaten down like I did.”
Goku inwardly winced. “How you’d know I wanted to track down Piccolo for a fight?”
ChiChi was insulted. “I’ve been living with you for five years. You think I don’t know you now?”
Goku chuckled. She had him there. “Okay, but you don’t think I can take care of myself? You think Piccolo will hurt me as badly as he did last time?”
“Taking care of yourself and ending a fight with a broken body are two different things. I don’t want our son to see you like that. I don’t wanna see you like that.”
He understood. Gohan was a sensitive child and his fight against Piccolo traumatized ChiChi. “If there was another tournament, what would you do?”
ChiChi settled back against the windowsill as she thought the question over. “I know you will participate. I’ll be worried, scared for you. I would have nightmares thinking of your last fight with Piccolo.” Goku frowned. That was not the response he wanted. “But I would be in the stands. Me and Gohan would be cheering you on.”
Goku lit up. That’s what he wanted to hear. “What about you? Defend your title as world’s strongest woman.”
ChiChi snorted. “I gave that up when I married you.”
“You’re still strong,” Goku told her. “You’re better with your Kamehameha Waves. You can read Ki some.”
“I prefer to be a strong mother for Gohan.”
“Then let me get you stronger,” Goku offered. “You told me you wanted to get stronger when we got married. I was helping you, then you got pregnant with Gohan and you forgot it.”
“It’s not that I forgot it,” ChiChi defended herself. “I became more focused on Gohan and I spar with you…..sometimes.”
Sometimes but not enough for Goku. “Gohan’s older and going to preschool now. We can spar more, maybe even every day.” ChiChi didn’t respond. “Come on, ChiChi. I need to do something.”
She knew he did. ChiChi didn’t want to think what Goku would do if his restlessness wasn’t squelched. “All right,” she gave in. “As long as it’s actual training and we train the entire time.”
Goku stared innocently at ChiChi. “Why wouldn’t it be?”
That innocent look. He wasn’t fooling her. He knew exactly what she meant. “You have a habit of ending things early because you want to fool around.”
“Okay,” Goku promised breaking into a bright smile. “Training. Then fooling around afterwards.”
ChiChi sealed their deal with a kiss. “When I get stronger, maybe you and I can get serious about having a second baby.”
“Second baby? Dr. Barkley said we can’t have any more kids.”
“She told us to not expect a big family. Besides, it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
Goku wouldn’t mind having another kid. He loved raising Gohan with ChiChi. Except, “You almost died having Gohan.”
“This time we’ll be prepared. You’ll be in the room with me, giving your Ki and with the training you’re gonna give me, I will be stronger to handle this baby.”
ChiChi made a strong case. He will get her stronger. He will be in the room with her and with enough trying, they will have their second child. Perhaps, in another year or so he can bring up the idea of teaching Gohan martial arts. Perhaps one of these days, ChiChi will give in on that idea.
Goku, ChiChi and Gohan returned home the following afternoon. In the den, ChiChi opened the capsules that contained their suitcase and souvenirs. ChiChi sat on the floor sorting through the souvenirs with Gohan while Goku checked the mail. Goku entered his home with a few letters in his hand. He sat on the sofa and opened one addressed to him.
ChiChi noticed Goku’s interest in the letter. “What that’s?”
“It’s a letter from Master Roshi.”
“Your former teacher?”
“Yeah. He sent a letter to me and Bulma. He said we never visit anymore and he wants a reunion to catch up and talk about old times.”
“Oh?” ChiChi handed Gohan a toy souvenir they purchased at the World Martial Arts Tournament Museum. “It has been a while. It might be what you need to ease this restlessness you’ve been feeling. You can get a good fight with your friends Krillin and Yamcha.”
“Yep.” Goku knew his friends kept up with their training over the years. He couldn’t wait to see what new techniques they learned. Gohan crawled on the sofa and sat beside him playing with his new toy. “It should be a lot of fun. They can meet Gohan.”
ChiChi stared at Gohan, contemplating the idea. She knew Goku would go. She hadn’t considered Gohan or herself going. “When is it?”
“A week from today.”
Sunday. Since it wasn’t on a school day, ChiChi saw no harm in Gohan going with his father. “You and Gohan can go. I’ll stay here. Just keep an eye on Gohan around Master Roshi. I don’t want that dirty man acting inappropriately around our son.”
Just him and Gohan? Goku wanted his whole family to go. “Why don’t you wanna go?”
“I don’t wanna deal with Master Roshi’s….” she looked at Gohan, aware she had to be careful of her words, “touchiness.”
“There’s more to Master Roshi than that,” Goku told her. “Krillin, Bulma and Yamcha will be there, too.”
“It would be nice to get to know them,” ChiChi thought wistfully. She recalled Yamcha and his claims he loved her when she was a child but learned he was lying because of her father’s reputation. However, he was kind and looked after her while Goku fought Piccolo. She briefly met Krillin at the tournament but she was so focused on Goku, she didn’t give Krillin any attention. From Goku, she understood he was Goku’s best friend and they trained together when Goku lived with Master Roshi. Bulma was another one she knew from her childhood. Oddly, they never spoke to each other. She knew Bulma wanted the dragon ball in her father’s castle and at the tournament, there wasn’t time to talk because of the fights and Goku grabbing her and flying away afterwards. “From your stories, it sounds like you all had a lot of fun together. It would be nice to get to know them.”
“Then come with us,” Goku urged.
ChiChi considered the idea. She could fix Gohan’s clothes later, but she’s been putting it and several things off for a while. Her kitchen was clean but she needed to clean the oven. The refrigerator needed cleaning out, too. With Gohan gone, she could clean his room. It wasn’t dirty but the floor could be swept and mopped. Having the day to herself without Goku and Gohan would give her a lot of time to get things done. “No,” she declined. “Next time,” she promised. “It’ll give me time to do things I’ve been putting off. Dad bought more clothes for Gohan. I have to adjust those and Gohan’s suit for Aki’s wedding. Next Sunday will give me plenty of time to do it. Be sure to bring Gohan back by dinner. He has preschool on Monday.”
“I will,” Goku promised. He patted his son’s back. “Gohan, you’ll get to meet Daddy’s friends.”
Gohan stopped playing with his toy. “Your friends?”
“Uh-huh,” Goku grinned. “You saw pictures of some of them at the museum. Would you like to meet them?”
Gohan remembered the pictures of the ones called Krillin and Yamcha. He also remembered the stories his Dad told of them and another one named Bulma and Master Roshi. He’ll be nervous since he never met them before but he would like to meet them. “Yes, Daddy.”
“Great. You’ll see them next Sunday.”
ChiChi noticed the smiles on Goku and Gohan’s faces. Especially her husband. It made her very happy. He didn’t look as restless anymore. Perhaps this reunion and the things they had planned in their future was exactly what Goku needed.
Part Sixteen: Aftermath
AN: When Goku and Gohan are in the Room of Spirit and Time, they had to take care of themselves. Goku admitted he wasn’t a very good cook but he did know how and I think it’s another thing he picked up during his marriage. I also think Goku and ChiChi argued at times like any couple and Goku voiced an opinion on Gohan learning martial arts but didn’t have a winning argument since Gohan was very young and times were peaceful. Little did they know how their lives were going to be turned upside down and things will change for them fore

Do Or Die: Part 32
Taylor’s POV
Grabbing my bag I was excited for today, Torrie and I were getting out the house baby free for a last spa treatment before the tour. The past few months were hectic as Torrie and I adjusted to our new life’s, enjoying all the twin’s milestones I couldn’t believe their biggest one was fast approaching.
Planning the babies first birthday party was bittersweet, walking around the house I couldn’t wait to have some me time. Making sure I had everything I walked to into the studio where the guys were with the babies, smiling Torrie got off of the floor. Kissing the babies heads I kissed Shannon’s cheek quickly and wrapped a scarf around my neck as I smiled down at the twins.
‘Be good for daddy, now boys call us if you need us, I’ll have my cell. And remember they need lunch and a nap Shannon I’ve laid clean clothes out for the twins. Bottles, dummy’s, blankets, snacks, teddy’s and anything else you can think of are in the bag by the front door’ I explained as I looked up at him hoping he was listening, smiling he stood up walking over to me he winked
‘Ok beautiful I get it. I got the babies don’t worry about it, you two go out have fun and enjoy being baby free for a few hours. There is no rush babe to get home, it’s daddy day with the babies’ Shannon smiled
Smiling weakly I kissed his lips quickly, wiping the lipstick off of his lips I blew the twins kisses. Walking to the door I closed the door to the studio, looking through the glass all the babies waved their hands. Crouching down at the boys kissed the glass I smiled at them, blowing more kisses Torrie and I hurried out.
Grabbing my bags I quickly left before I changed my mind, jumping into the Rover Torrie and I had a whole day planned doing what we wanted. Pulling out of the drive I was looking forward to the girls day, heading to the store we were going to shop until our feet ached.
Shannon’s POV
Laughing as the girls left I sighed happily as I walked back over to the babies, putting some music on I turned the volume down a little. Watching them dancing I smiled, sitting down on my chair Jared and I had looked after the babies plenty of times. Yawning I put my feet up on the table knowing it would be a piece of cake, scrolling through my phone I smiled as I uploaded a picture. Glancing at Brody as he took off to explore he headed towards the drum set, hitting his hand off of the snare drum I stick my tongue out at him as he drooled.
'Ok Brody over here buddy! Let’s keep the party central’ I laughed
'Dada!’ He giggled as he hit the drum again, smiling I walked over to Brody
'Yes that’s dada’s let’s not touch it now ok. How about some cookies?’ I said trying to grab his hand
Shaking his head he hit the drum again smiling up at me he drooled on the drums, cringing I picked him up. Reaching down for the drums he whined as he said dada again, laughing I held his hand. Shaking it softly he pouted at me as he wiggled in my arms trying to get down.
'No sorry buddy, Let’s go play just now and maybe daddy will let you hit them later’ I smiled
Pulling the twins and Ryder into the living room I closed the studio door closed a little, putting the TV on we all sat on the floor and played with the mass of toys around us. Clearing up a little I picked Brody up, holding onto Arianna’s hand Jared got Ryder as we went to the kitchen to start lunch. Getting the babies into their chairs I pulled out the plates of already prepared food, pulling a face I glanced at Jared. Poking the carrot sticks I dumped the plate back into the fridge, smiling I closed the door.
'Well….the mommy’s are not here. You know what that means with daddy! Pizza” I smiled
Smiling the babies put their hands up reaching for their cups, making sure the lids were on properly I handed them to them. Kissing the top of their heads Jared walked up behind me giving them a cookie while they waited. Putting a few pizza’s in the oven I laughed as they stuffed the cookie’s into their mouths. Cutting the pizza up into bite sized pieces we waited until it cooled down; looking over at the babies they hit their hands off of their trays impatiently. Laughing I dished the pizza up, filling their cups again we sat and ate lunch in peace. Cleaning up after lunch everything was going smoothly, giving the babies another cookie there good nature fooled us.
Running after Brody he held onto my drum sticks, trying to grab them Arianna was rolling on the floor squealing happily. Looking up at Jared he took the guitar off of Ryder, screaming Ryder hit the strings singing loudly. Laughing I turned back to find Brody, shaking my head I walked forward quickly as Brody smiled cheekily at me.
'Brody no! Put it down, don’t you dare hit my drums little bear!’ I yelled
Looking up at me he laughed hitting my drums he hit the sides drooling he growled, pouncing forward I pulled the drum sticks out of Brody’s hands. Wincing as he screamed in my ears, Jared yelled as he ran after Ryder trying to take the microphone off of him. Looking down at Arianna she lay on the floor smiling at the dogs, opening my mouth Ryder stood on her hand as he ran past. Watching her face twist I sighed, closing my eyes I waited for her to join the mayhem. Hurrying over to her as she screamed I picked her up from the ground, kissing her head I rocked her in my arms. Hiding her face into my shirt she screamed loudly, kissing her hand I rubbed over it.
'Ohh baby girl are you ok? Mean Ryder stood on you, its ok baby girl….’ I smiled
Rocking her in my arms I patted her back, pulling away from my chest she stuck her tongue over her top lip. Grabbing my shirt I cleaned her nose, sitting her on the ground I looked at her little hand. Rubbing it she put it up to my lips, smiling I kissed all over it. Giggling her attention instantly turned to the dogs as they walked past, kissing her head I stood up properly. Biting my lip she quickly walked over to the dogs as they went to their food and water. Wincing Ryder banged his hand off of the piano keys, pinching my nose I shook my head as Jared ran over to him.
'What happened to this being a piece of cake bro!’ I laughed at Jared, sighing the babies squealed as they moved around
'Shut up, your fault you gave them that extra cookie!’
Hearing the dogs barking I groaned turning around I clapped my hands startling the babies as they shoved the dry dog food into their mouths. Looking up at us Brody crunched on it, turning to Jared he shook his head and closed his eyes.
'Ohhh no Ari no! Arianna Raelynn!’ I said raising my voice
Giggling she shoved some more food into her mouth, hurrying over I grabbed hold of the twins. Wiping the food off of them I finally managed to get some out their mouths, pulling them out of the studio I sighed. Sitting them on the couch I handed the three of them cups, tiding their things away Jared and I crashed onto the couch. Watching the babies as they slowly relaxed I yawned, glancing at the clock I smiled wide when I realized it was nap time.
“Ok then kiddo’s, nap time” Shannon smiled
Putting them down in the travel cribs I gave them a cup each, drumming my hands on the sides of the cribs I smiled as Jared turned the TV on. Slipping out of the room Jared and I crashed on the couch as we waited for the kids to fall asleep.
Frowning as I heard the twins yelling from their room I glanced at Jared as Ryder yelled louder. Leaving them we both hoped they would crash soon, waiting for a while longer half an hour passed. Hearing the chaos in the bedroom Jared and I groaned as we pulled the kids out of their cribs, taking them into the garden we hoped the fresh air would knock them out.
Glancing at Jared as he hummed to himself I ran my hand over Arianna’s head as she leaned into my legs, looking down at her as she yawned again she chewed on the edge of her blankie. Being over tired from missing her nap she held onto my jeans, picking her up I kissed the top of her head. Rocking her in my arms gently I smiled as the boys ran around, tidying up a little I tried to put Arianna down, squealing unhappily she clung onto my shirt. Shaking her head she put her face in my neck, sitting down with her I kissed the top of her head as the boys continued to run around.
Taylor’s POV
After having a great day out Torrie and I couldn’t wait to get back to the babies, pulling a few of the bags out of the rover I was excited to show the boys and babies the new outfits we had bought to go on tour. Pushing the door open my ears were hit with screaming and squealing, walking further into the house I froze looking around the place was trashed.
'Uhhh hello?’ I called over the noise, seeing Shannon freezing on the floor he slowly looked up at me
'Uhh Hi Tigger. You look amazing!’
Looking down at the babies they squealed happily as they saw Torrie and I, dumping my bags down I slowly took my coat off. Raising my brow all three of the babies ran around naked, turning back to Shannon he leaned back on his hands trying to look normal.
'umm thank you….Shannon? What the hell is going on in here?’
'I don’t know what you are talking about. We are just playing a nice game’ Shannon smiled
Looking down at the babies they came walking over to Torrie and I picking a towel up my hand got covered in mushed up banana. Crouching down as the twins ran over to me I smiled as I wrapped the towel around them, listening to them babbling on they squealed in my arms. Smiling I looked at their mouths as they showed me a colourful grin.
'Oh my goodness what have you been eating? Shannon what’s going on? It looks like the zoos been here!’
'We were just playing. Had some fun. Nothing too exciting’
Shaking my head I kissed the twins head freezing I smelled their hair, pulling a face I held onto Brody’s head as I smelt his head again. Looking at Arianna I tried to wipe the blue stain off of her face, smiling she tapped my chest. Kissing her head I pulled a face again, looking up at Shannon he tried to sneak off to the bathroom.
'Oh my gosh you two stink! Shannon Leto freeze. Come here’
Freezing he closed his eyes, turning around he smiled innocently at me. Standing up I held the twins hands as I walked into the room. Seeing the mess on the floor I looked around everywhere horrified at what I saw.
'Cut the crap what happened… Why didn’t you call? What exactly have they eaten their still hyper!’
'Things got a little crazy. The babies ran the house they just had a little fun and well we couldn’t call because we wanted you two to have time to yourselves. They haven’t napped and well they had whatever food their not supposed to have….they had pizza, far too many cookies and they are still hyper because Uncle Jay gave them ice cream. Those delightful colours on their mouths is sprinkles that our darling Princess got into...We may have trashed the place but no one got hurt and well...Jared and I survived!’ Shannon said biting his lip, sighing the babies pulled out of my hands running away they dove right into the mass of toys.
“the place is trashed, the babies are on a sugar high, you and Jared look exhausted…I guess as long as you had fun and nothing serious happened then…whatever” I shrugged
“No one got hurt and the babies ate…they will crash here in a little and sleep all night. They had fun today’ Shannon smiled, holding his hand out he walked closer to me 'And you look amazing baby”
Blushing I put my hand in his looking down at the twins they giggled on the floor “thank you…I missed you three today. But looks like the bear cubs had a great day with daddy…they’ll want to do it again!” I smiled; looking at Shannon he bit his lip as he pulled me to him
“Give me a hug baby”
“Oh no! No I’m good for now thanks” I laughed, taking a step back I shook my head
“Can I have a kiss at least then?” He smirked, kissing his hand the twins stood up covered in sprinkles and paint.
'oh no….nooo everybody stay back!’
Taking a step backwards Shannon smirked as the twins got closer walking behind me he wrapped his arms around me. Squealing the twins ran and put their arms around my legs covering me in god knows what, groaning Shannon laughed into my ear. Kissing my cheek softly the twins giggled, groaning again I looked down at my outfit. Seeing not a spot clear I bent down and picked the twins up smiling Brody pushed some into my face.
“Oh well thank you! I guess my outfit was missing something and the spa didn’t put enough stuff on my face’ I laughed
Closing my eyes Brody pushed it into my face, nibbling on his neck I tickled Arianna. Smiling Shannon slowly walked around in front, smiling at him he reached forward and kissed me softly. Smiling into the kiss we slowly pulled apart, looking at the mess on the floor I bounced the twins on my hips.
Tidying up the mess in the living room the twins were slowly starting to relax, smiling as Shannon crashed on the couch he yawned loudly as I cleared the rest of the things away. Putting the twins dirty clothes onto wash I wiped the paint from the floor amazed it hadn’t touched the grey rug in the living room, grabbing my phone I smiled as Brody cuddled into Shannon on the couch.
Playing with Arianna for a little while I smiled as she chewed on her fingers, pulling her to my body I tickled her side. Giggling loudly she wriggled in my hold, kissing her softly she babbled. Leaning down she left a sloppy kiss on my cheek, snapping a picture Shannon’s heart burst with pride.
Slowly pulling away I slowly stood up, lifting Arianna I nudged Shannon’s leg as he slowly relaxed on the couch. Holding my hand out to Brody I smiled as he slowly stood up, clapping his hands he drooled.
“Group shower! Hey Shan no sleeping!’ I laughed,
'group shower! Babies get washed then bed for everyone” Shannon smiled as he yawned again.
Laughing loudly as we tidied a few things away Shannon and I got into the shower with the twins, watching the colorful water disappear down the drain I was thankful no one got hurt. Kissing Shannon’s lips gently I held onto his face as the twins played at our feet, slowly pulling away I loved all the chaos and him. Looking down at Brody as he giggled my heart melted everytime I looked at him, seeing a mini Shannon at my feet I snapped a picture of him.
Finishing their shower Taylor, Shannon and the twins cuddled in bed, watching a movie together they slowly drifted to sleep. Holding onto each another Taylor sighed happily as she cuddled into Shannon’s arms.

The World Stops Chapter 1 (Jared x Reader)
Title: The World Stops Chapter 1
Summary: (Y/n) was running late to work after taking Jared to the airport the night before.
Warnings: September 11th attacks, language, injuries
AN: So in this AU, Jared and Jensen are the same age they are now and are still big actors. It's just set in 2001.
Jared had left for L.A. late the night before. (Y/n) had gone in the cab with him to say goodbye to him. Their best friend and neighbor had left a few nights prior. Him and Jared had some important business to attend to. Jared left from LaGuardia for L.A. and she had went home to Tribeca to sleep. But during the night there was a power surge in their building. Damn old wiring for the building. So instead of waking up at 7 am to get ready to go to work for her 8 am shift, she woke up at 8:20.
“Good morning New York!” The announcer on the radio said as (Y/n) turned in bed. “It’s almost 8:30 on this beautiful September morning! We’ve got blue skies all across Manhatten. Let’s start this block of music with some Staind.” The D.J. faded into “It’s Been Awhile.” (Y/n) jumped out of bed.
“Shit!” She called out as she quickly ran to the bathroom to pull her hair up and brush her teeth. She dialed her work as she found the perfect outfit for the day.
“Hey Angie, it’s (Y/).” She said as she grabbed a cute, yet appropriate dress out of her closest. “We had a power surge last night. Reset my alarm. I’ll be there in like twenty minutes or so.” She could practically hear her boss smiling on the other end.
“Relax (Y/n).” She said. “You’re one of my best employees and you’re my friend. All the important meetings aren’t until after lunch anyway.”
“Okay. Well I think I could make better time walking. I’ll see you when I get there.” She hung up and got her things together, making sure she had the mp3 player Jared had gotten her while filming in Japan earlier in the year. It held more songs and she had already bought so many from iTunes and Napster and record stores lining Soho were her guilty pleasure. Jared saw the music clutter and figured she needed an easier way to listen to it since she didn’t have a car.
She walked out of their place, locking it up and heading on her way when she saw one of her neighbors walking from the elevator. She smiled at him.
“Morning (Y/n).” He said with a smile. “How are you this morning?”
“I’m really fucking late.” (Y/n) said, covering her mouth and blushing deeply. “I’m so sorry Mr. Gandolfini.”
“One, I’ve told you to call me James. We’ve lived in the same building for four years now. And two, have you ever seen my fucking show?” He asked with a laugh. “Would you like to use my car? I can have my driver drop you off.”
“No, I’ll be fine to walk.” (Y/n) insisted.
“You work in the south tower right?” He asked, making (Y/n) nod. “Good. I’ll know where to send flowers to.” He chuckled. He was a sweet man, that was for sure.
“I’ll see you later James!” (Y/n) said with a wave. She headed down the elevator and through the lobby of her building, putting her headphones on.
Normally, her walk only took about 9 minutes to get to the financial district, but foot traffic was just as bad as car traffic today. Lot of people taking advantage of the nice September day before winter hit with a vengeance. So after about a ten minute walk, she noticed the time. She groaned as she got stopped at a red light, again. 8:45 am. She could see the towers. She was almost there. A U2 song that was a favorite of Jared’s came on. She smiled and turned it up, listening to Bono sing.
The light turned green as she waved to a firefighter she knew. She saw him a lot when she went to the coffee shop in the mornings or the deli on the way home. He was about to come over and say hi to her when a shadow fall across them. (Y/n) looked up as a plane flew overhead. The roar was loud, but she could still hear her music as Bono sang “it’s a beautiful day”.
Right as the plane headed towards the Twin Towers.
Right as the plane hit the North tower.
“Oh my god!” (Y/n) screamed, hands immediately covering her mouth and nose in shock. People stood by her, watching in horror as black smoke started to swirl out of the building.
Like everyone else on the block, (Y/n) reached to get her cell phone. To call Jared, to call Jensen’s current girlfriend, to call anybody. But every number she called gave her the same number.
All circuits are busy, please try again.
“Fuck.” (Y/n) grumbled. She wanted to call Angie, tell her to get everyone out of the office. She could see people running out of both towers as she headed towards it. She saw some people she knew, but many she didn’t. There were a bunch of school children that looked terrified.
“I want my mommy.” A little boy cried. He looked around and couldn’t find his class anywhere. He stood in the middle of people. He was going to get trampled at this rate. (Y/n) ran over and knelt in front of him.
“Hi, my name is (Y/n). What’s yours?” She asked.
“C-Clark.” He said, trying to catch his breath.
“Well Clark, I’m going to help you find your mommy okay. Was she with you?” He shook his head. “Was she in the tower at work?” He nodded. “Okay Clark, give me your hand. We’ll go find her, okay?”
“O-okay.” He whimpered. He clung to (Y/n)’s hand. But that’s when there was another sound of an engine. She looked up in time as a second plane hit the south tower.
Her tower.
“No!” She screamed in terror. “Oh god no!” Debris started falling from the newly damaged building, so she picked up Clark and ran to where other people were gathering. He clung to her and cried.
“What is happening?!” An older woman asked her. (Y/n) shook her head, her eyes wide. They looked up at the thick black smoke that reached toward the blue sky. It had been such a beautiful day. U2 had even said so.
Everything else for the next half hour seemed like a blur. NYPD started pushing them back, away from the center. Clark was shaking in her arms as she carried him away. She saw a group of kids standing by some adults. But that wasn’t his class. So she kept him safe with her.
She stood holding Clark for almost an hour. She had no idea what she was supposed to do. She couldn’t take him anyplace in case his mom was out there looking for him, but she couldn’t let him stay there and watch this horror. He was just a kid and he was already going to be traumatized enough. He was in the north tower when it was hit.
“Clark? Clark where are you?” (Y/n) heard a woman call out. Clark’s head popped up from where it was buried on (Y/n)’s shoulder. “Clark King! Where are you?!”
“Mommy!” Clark said. (Y/n) set him down as a woman ran over. She wrapped her arms around her son.
“Thank you! Thank you so much.” She told (Y/n). “Who are you?”
“(Y/n) Padalecki.” (Y/n) explained.
“Nancy King.” The woman said. “And you’ve met Clark.” She kept her son in her arms, kissing the top of his head. That’s when there was a loud noise and people screaming. “Oh god please not another one.” Nancy begged. (Y/n) turned her attention to the towers.
There was a large cloud of dust racing from the sky to the ground as the tower collapsed.
“Shit!” (Y/n) called out. She grabbed Nancy’s arm and took off running down the street as the dust cloud came at them. (Y/n) looked around and saw the door to the deli she ate at a lot open. They were pulling people inside. She pushed Nancy and Clark that was as the heels she was wearing caught on a grate, causing her to fall and a horrible pain in her ankle.
“(Y/n)!” Nancy screamed. She pushed Clark inside the Deli and ran to (Y/n) to help her up. Nancy had a scarf she raised to her mouth to cover her face from the dust as it hit them. (Y/n) buried her face in her hands. They dove into the deli, Clark was crying.
“Are you okay?” The twenty something that always had (Y/n)’s sandwiches ready for her asked. But (Y/n) couldn’t hear anything over the ringing in her ears. She looked down at herself, covered in a thick layer of dirt and dust. Her ankle was hurting her so bad, but the adrenalin in her veins was causing it to just be a dull ache.
****
The North Tower collapsed not long after the South Tower. Nancy had worked on 30 in the North Tower, and all of her office had gotten out. They had walked out together. (Y/n) had no idea if any of her office had gotten out. Clark had been in the North Tower with plans to see his mom while he was on his field trip. He was currently sitting at a table with a couple other kids, coloring on the back of placemats while the adults all turned their attention to the TV in the corner.
(Y/n) coughed some as she fished her phone out of her purse. There was no signal at all. Sprint was supposed to offer coverage everywhere, that’s why Jared had wanted their phones to be with them. She snapped the phone closed and dropped it into her purse. Nancy walked over by her and set down.
“You saved my life.” She said softly. “You said you worked at south right?” (Y/n) nodded.
“I was running late.” (Y/n) whispered. “My husband had left to L.A. the night before and we lost power in our building, resulting in my alarm resetting itself.” Nancy nodded.
“Thank god for small miracles then.” Nancy said. The dust and debris seemed to have died down outside. “Here’s my number. We need to keep in touch. I owe you so much.”
“You don’t owe me anything.” (Y/n) said, slowly standing up, afraid to put weight on her ankle.
“Do you need help getting home?” She asked. (Y/n) shook her head.
“I’ll be fine.” (Y/n) slipped the napkin in her purse before writing her own and handing it to Nancy. “You and Clark be careful okay? It’s a messed up world.”
“You be careful too.” Nancy said. (Y/n) slowly limped out of the deli and down the street to Tribeca. Buildings were damaged from debris, there was a thin layer of dust everywhere. The day, which had started out so beautifully, was now grey.
(Y/n) slowly got into the building. The doorman that normally was there was off watching the TV in the lobby. Not that she blamed him. She carefully hobbled to the elevator and took it to their floor. Neighbors were gathered together in apartments, doors open as they watched the events on TV. (Y/n) walked past one where Jensen’s current girlfriend Danneel, the Gandolfini’s, and a couple other people were gathered.
“(Y/n)!” Danneel gasped as she saw her walk by. But (Y/n) seemed to be in a trance as she made her way into her and Jared’s apartment. She laid her dusty purse on the door side table. She slipped off her heels, her ankle thankful yet angry. She slowly slid out of her clothes as she walked towards the bathroom, leaving them in a trail across the living room. She made her way into the bathroom quietly and turned on the water for the shower. It warmed up and (Y/n) climbed in, realizing that her ankle wasn’t going to let her stand. So she set down in the bathtub, watching as the dust and dirt washed off of her and swirled around the drain. Small cuts and scrapes were visible as the dirt washed away and the nasty bruising on her ankle could be seen. She pulled her knees to her chest as everything started to catch up to her. Tears fell down her face.
“(Y/n)…” Danneel said softly from the doorway of the bathroom. “Oh god.” She walked forward and took in all the injuries on (Y/n)’s body. They weren’t bad, but she had gotten hit by more debris than she had thought. “I’ll be back. Can you get out of the tub?” (Y/n) nodded. She finished washing off and climbed out of the tub slowly. She pulled on one of Jared’s shirts that fit her like a dress and moved towards the living room as Danneel came back with a woman from the floor above them who used to be a nurse.
“Sweetie, you should’ve probably gone to a hospital.” The nurse said, but (Y/n) shook her head. There were more people that needed the hospital more than she did. Danneel and the nurse looked at each other, noticing her silence.
“(Y/n), we’re making frozen pizzas. We all need to eat. I’m going to bring some to you, okay?” Danneel said. She just nodded. While Danneel was gone, (Y/n) retreated to the bedroom, curling up in the middle of the bed. Her thoughts were running wild but suddenly came to a halt as she thought of something.
Jared.
Jared had been flying.
Jared might now be dead in the rubble of the Twin Towers or the Pentagon or that field in Pennsylvania.
Danneel came back to find (Y/n) crying ugly tears and begging to whoever was listening to let Jared be okay.

Let's Talk About Love [CHAPTER 2]
Akashi x Momoi, Hyuuga x Riko, Kagami x Alex, Harasawa x Araki
. . Chapter 2: CHANGE . . . Seijuurou sat in his room alone. The room that was placed on the highest floor of Seijuurou Group building. He had no idea of how long it had been since he sat on his chair while listening to his favorite song by using earphone.
He didn’t know if it was because he was fluent in English or probably the lyrics of the song were so easy to be understood by him. Or perhaps because he always listened to this beautiful song for almost everyday. No matter about the place or time, he always wanted to listen this amazing song.
So honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I’m thinking out loud Maybe we found love right where we are
He closed both his eyes, still drowning himself into the lyrics. He just wanted to find his peace whenever he found a difficult times or something like that. He was stressed out with his works lately, but now he could feel himself like he was at home. Welcomed by his beautiful wife and his adorable daughter.
Slowly, he opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the photo frame on his desk. Of course it wasn’t the frame that he was looking at. But the photo of himself with the most important person in his life; his wife and their daughter. He could smile just because seeing them in the photo were smiling as well. It was like he could feel the happiness that they felt on that day when they were photographed in the flower garden which was placed on the back of their house.
All of sudden, he heard someone was knocking on his door. He said something to let that person to come into his room and then he saw Riko, his secretary. She brought some documents before finally put them on Seijuurou’s desk.
“Okay,” he said, “I will check it later after the lunch time.”
“Alright, Sir. It seems that you will have a lunch with your wife again,” Riko replied him. He could hear a funny sound from the way she talked to him. Probably she just teased him, but fortunately he didn’t mind it at all. Because she did nothing wrong.
“I must go now, Aida-san,” he said with trying to hide his smile though he knew that he failed to do so.
After Riko went from his room, Seijuurou put on his suit and tidied up his black tie. Then he went out from his room. As he passed his employees, they greeted him nicely and he replied them with smile. He didn’t know why, maybe he was just too happy to meet the love of his life. Moreover, he could hear his employees were praising him with those compliments.
‘I think he wants to meet his wife now.’
‘I heard it’s been 7 years since they were getting married. Even people said his wife is extremely beautiful!’
‘Don’t forget about he also has a pretty daughter. Seriously, I envy of his life. He has everything now.’
‘I’m jealous that even he’s so romantic to his wife although they’ve been married for 7 years.’
Seijuurou only smiled when he heard they whispered like that behind him. Well, if it was a compliment, he didn’t mind to be talked by his employees like that. As long as he liked it, then everything was okay.
When Seijuurou walked away from his office, he got a message from his wife. It was said that she was almost done with her work. He texted her back by writing ‘Okay, see you soon’.
He was driving his car through the crowd of vehicles. He had a promise to have a lunch with his wife in the restaurants near a law firm where she worked for almost 3 years. Of course it just took minutes for his wife to get herself in that restaurant. But, he didn’t like it if he was making her waited for him.
20 minutes later, he parked his car and then walked toward the restaurant. He sighed when he saw this place was full of people. He tried to find their favorite place whenever they came to eat here. When he found one, he relieved before finally he walked again to the place that was surrounded by a flower garden.
Seijuurou sat there alone, not long after that he saw someone familiar came toward him. He smiled to her, moreover when his eyes caught his daughter was walking beside her. As usual, his wife was never late to pick up their daughter from kindergarten.
“I’m sorry for making you wait this long, Seijuurou-kun,” she said meanwhile he was pulling a chair for his wife and another small chair for his daughter.
“No problem, I just arrived here, Satsuki,” he smiled to her before turned his eyes to Shiori, his only daughter, “Hey, pretty girl. How’s your school?”
The little girl with ponytail was smiling back to him and answered his question with full of cheer.
“I’m so happy, Daddy! Araki-sensei gave me an A for my drawing. I was drawing with the crayons that Daddy bought for me last night. Thank you so much, Daddy~!” Shiroi hugged him. He giggled with her reaction before hugging her back.
“Satsuki, don’t forget that we have a dinner with our friends tonight.”
“Okay. If so, I can’t be late at home today. I should finish all of my work in the office after lunch time,” she said.
“For what? So you can make up yourself to be beautiful in front of them?” Seijuurou teased her like he was trying to make a joke. But, Satsuki knew that he was hiding his jealousy.
“What are you talking about, Seijuurou-kun?” she laughed with his unfunny joke.
“Mommy, can I join too with Mom and Dad?” all of sudden, Shiori who heard what they talked about asking her a question.
She felt sorry.
“I’m sorry, honey. You still have to go to school tomorrow morning, so Mom can’t let you to stay awake with us for our dinner.”
Shiori felt disappointed for a while before Seijuurou hugged her to comfort her.
“It’s okay, Princess. Daddy will buy you something, is it okay?”
They could see Shiori changed her mood. She nodded cheerfully and then hugging back her Dad. It was making Seijuurou giggled again. Satsuki also giggled with the father-daughter relationship between them.
“Ah, Seijuurou-kun, what do you want to eat? I will order something,” she talked to him softly.
“Hmm, I think that I can eat anything right now, Satsuki,” he said and then he looked at Shiori, “What about you, Shiori? Want something to eat?”
She made a pose like she was thinking of something.
“Uhm, I want to eat children’s food.”
Her answer was really making her parents giggling. How could this adorable girl be so cute with that answer? Even they couldn’t say if it was a smart answer or not because now they were a bit confused to choose something to eat for her.
“Alright then,” suddenly Satsuki stood up from her chair, “Shiroi-chan, Mommy will get your food. Wait here with Daddy, okay?”
The girl just nodded and Seijuurou was giving her a smile with a little touch of their hand before she went to order their foods.
.
.
.
Taiga still stood in front of the cashier of that restaurant meanwhile both his hands were too busy by holding his tray that was full of foods. After the waitress of the restaurant giving him his change, Taiga let a women with a pink hair to stood in the place where he was standing before and then he walked away toward his seat.
Without waiting for someone or anything else, he started to consume those foods one by one like he was a crazy hunger who never ate anything for months. As he enjoyed his food, still with mouth that full of food, he could feel his phone was vibrating. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and saw ‘Scary Lioness’ on the screen.
“... Oh my God.”
He rejected the call before put it on his table and then trying to get back his mood by eating his foods again. A second later, his phone was vibrating again and he saw the same nickname on it. He sighed deeply before finally gave up and answered the call in the end.
‘Yes...’
‘Taiga! How could you reject my call? Do you still think yourself as my son if you do it again?’
He rolled his eyes.
‘Come on, Mom,’ he said calmly as he ate again, ‘Idwiditaswidentally.’
‘What are you saying? Eat your food neatly and answer my question clearly, Taiga.’
And he did.
‘I said I did it accidentally, my beloved mother whose as beautiful as the Greek Goddess.’
‘Hm! Don’t try to tease me right now, Taiga,’ she said, ‘So, when will you back here? You said to me that you’ll come back here yesterday but you lied to me. How dare you!’
‘Mom, I have a job here, so why should I leave just to hear you say something? If you have something to talk to me, you can talk about it now through the phone.’
‘It’s not something that we can discuss through the phone, My Lil Tiger! I want to make sure that you really have good ears which still have good function to hear what I say clearly,’ she said full of pressure, ‘Besides, if you come here, you don’t have to live full of struggle in Tokyo with that widow.’
Suddenly, Taiga put away his food on his tray after hearing his mother said something like that.
‘Seriously, Mom,’ he sighed deeply, ‘First, I have a lunch now. Second, you talk something sensitive again. How could you break both of my mood?’
‘Taiga...’
‘I’ll call you later, Mom. Bye.’
He hung up the phone. He decided to not finishing his lunch and chose to walk away from the restaurants. When Taiga stood in the front of that place, he grabbed his phone again and texting something to his wife that said ‘When Mom calls you, don’t answer. Instead, block her number’. Then, he was gone by driving his car far away.
.
.
.
Satsuki put her red lipstick on her lips and then looked at her reflection in the mirror like she wanted to make sure that everything on her was really fine to see. When she too focused on her appearance in the mirror, Seijuurou came into their room and closed the door.
“Oh, you’re done? Does Shiori sleep now?” she asked him by looking at him through the mirror. She could see how ready her husband was just by looking at his appearance now. He wore his suit which was making him look more handsome and manly of course.
“Like what you see now and yeah ... she sleeps deeply with her babysitter in her room,” he answered and then he walked toward her before finally stopped behind her. It was like Seijuurou tried to make her lost her focus by kissing her shoulder.
“Now I understand why those people call you ‘HOT MAMA’, Satsuki.”
Satsuki closed both her eyes as she was enjoying the touch of her husband. She almost let out her moaning when all of sudden Seijuurou bit her neck softly. He didn’t stop there. Satsuki was almost falling deep in their atmosphere when Seijuurou stroked his hand from her shoulder to her arms and finally touching her breast with those hands.
“Hmm ... Seijuurou-kun. S-stop it,” she tried to get her sanity back. She had no idea how could her husband’s touch be so addicting like this.
“Why should I stop? I know you want it too, babe,” he teased her. Before Seijuurou went further, Satsuki turned herself to face him and then giving him a passionate kiss on his lips.
They kissed each other and closed both their eyes. Trying to enjoy what they were doing right now. Seijuurou’s hand was stroking her bare skin and he was mesmerized about how soft her skin was. Suddenly, she stopped him and their activity as well.
“What?”
“We’re almost late, dear,” she said as she was fixing her make up, “And you know that we can’t let our friends to call an Akashi is the king of late.”
He was disappointed.
“Hhh, okay then. You owe me the rest of our activity. And you must pay for it tonight.”
She just smiled hearing him said something like that. After they were done and of course to make sure the babysitter was really paying attention on their daughter, the spouse was driving away from their house and went to the restaurant where they had a promise to meet with their friends.
Not long after that, they finally made it to the place. It was a restaurant which was taking jazz theme for this place. A nice place for those jazz lovers and Seijuurou knew that Shintarou was the one who decided their meeting here.
When they were coming in, they could feel all of those eyes in the restaurant were staring at them like they were so mesmerized about how could be they married each other. At the same time, Seijuurou saw Daiki waved at them.
“So, here comes Mr. and Mrs. Akashi,” Ryouta joked to them.
Daiki rolled his eyes. “Come on, Kise. That’s not funny at all.”
“You’re so meaaaan, Aominecchiiiii~!”
“Don’t be noisy if you please, nanodayo,” Shintarou tried to keep them calm. He was never ready to get everyone’s attention just because those crazy abnormal friends.
“You guys look so normal as always,” Satsuki said as she giggled with their behavior, “Anyway, where’s Mukkun?”
Daiki pointed a tall, a very tall guy, who was busy enough to put every foods on his plate.
“I think he still consider about what kind of food that he must eat right now,” Seijuurou commented.
“Oh yeah, I must go to the toilet now,” Satsuki said to her husband.
“Then, do you want to eat something?”
She smiled and said to him before went alone. “Order anything, dear. Be back soon.”
As Satsuki went away, Seijuurou sat on his chair and trying to order something meanwhile he was looking at the menu. He called a waitress and order the foods and beverages for him and his wife. After the waitress went away, he saw the strange look from Daiki.
“What’s wrong?” he asked him.
“Nothing. I just can’t believe that you still have that kind of romantic conversation with her after 7 years you guys getting married.”
He lifted his eyebrow and giving him a strange look too.
“What do you mean? There’s no romantic thing in our marriage life, I mean when your wife calls you dear, babe, darling, and stuff. It’s just something ordinary in marriage.”
Daiki still thought of something. Suddenly, Atsushi came to them and sat beside Seijuurou.
“Ohh~ Aka-chin comes here finally. Where’s Sa-chin?”
“She was going to toilet.”
And then Seijuurou looked at Daiki again as if he was waiting for his answer.
Daiki understood the way Seijuurou gazed him. He spoke again.
“Okay then. I’m glad that your marriage life is extremely fine, Akashi. I mean, there are so many marriage are broken lately.”
“Is that so, Aominecchi? Where do you know it, ssu?” Ryouta was interested with his topic.
“Do not gossip anything here, you both,” said Shintarou as he sipped his wine calmly.
Suddenly, Daiki clapped his hand on Shintarou’s back so hard and making Shintarou coughed like he wanted to vomit something from his mouth.
“Come on, Four Eyes! You’ll get interested with this topic, I’m sure about that. Don’t try to hide your interest by saying something with annoyed voice.”
“Can you talk something calmly without make me surprise like that, Aomine?!”
Seijuurou was giggling with his friends’ behavior. It had been long times since they didn’t meet each other. There was no special reason unless they were too busy with their life that full of struggle of course. It was the only logic reason for adults like them.
“I heard that my neighbor quarreled yesterday. Well, my Mom said that the spouse who live beside our house will divorce each other because the husband found his wife was sleeping with another men in hotel.”
“That’s so tragic!” Ryouta’s eyes widened.
“Shut your mouth, Kise. And what a fool men who slept with that women, nanodayo. I bet he’s married too.”
Daiki was gazing him. “How could you know it, Midorima?”
He smirked. “It’s too clear. What kind of single men who wants to be a secret lover of another men’s wife? If they’re smart they’ll choose to dating a single women too. Besides, women and men have different perspective about cheating, nanodayo.”
Although he looked like he didn’t give much his attention to their discussion, Seijuurou still could hear clearly what they were saying.
“Really? What’s the difference? Is it about where they touch each other or what?” Daiki asked Shintarou impatiently. Oh, how could he said it but suddenly he felt jealous about Shintarou’s knowledge.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea about asking this question, but I thought that women can’t cheat,” finally Seijuurou spoke out his mind.
“Of course they can, nanodayo. Women are human being like us. And Aomine’s neighbor is an example. But, when women is cheating, it can be more serious than what men can do. A women can be smarter than men when it’s about cheating. They can be more careful. But the sign of cheating is all the same; rarely at home, forget about wedding anniversary, even doesn’t wear her wedding ring anymore, nanodayo.”
Shintarou sipped his wine again before continued his words. Meanwhile, they thought it was the only time that they could hear Shintarou talked about something for long times.
“A men has an affair with another women just for playing, I know that all of you can get what I mean, nanodayo. A men and a women are using same strategy before they’re really cheating like watching movie together, have a candle light dinner, etc. And then ... you know the next. But, the ending of their affair are really different, nanodayo.”
They were so curious to hear the last one.
“ ... after get what he wants, a men will come back to his lover or wife and forget about his secret lover and also their affair as well, nanodayo. I know it sounds like we’re all kind of jerk, but that’s what happens lately. But, in women’s perspective, after she has sex with another men, she can’t get over it. The worst thing is she thinks that she’s madly in love with this men, nanodayo.”
“Come on,” Seijuurou didn’t believe with what Shintarou said to them, “Are you serious? I mean what kind of love? Cheating is cheating. There’s no love inside it. A love that destroys someone’s marriage? Seriously, that’s not love at all.”
“What you guys are talking about?”
All of sudden, Satsuki’s presence sent them a surprise.
“No-nothing,” Daiki tried to save all of them, “We just talked about variety show, hahahaha.”
Satsuki gave him a weird look, but she didn’t care at all. And then, when she sat beside her husband, Seijuurou realized something changed on her. He was in silent for a while when he found her didn’t use her wedding ring anymore.

Taste of Christmas
Jb & I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
A/N: i actually love how this one turned out. it’s always a little hard to write jb fluff but i’m happy with this one. hope you all like it!
wc: ~1K
Fic 8 of 12 - Holiday Series
When you’d found out Santa wasn’t real, your best friend had brought you grape juice. It was a vivid memory, the taste of the sickly-sweet juice on your tongue, the sticky residue coating your hands, the cold feeling of the stain setting in our shirt. It was a ridiculous way to start a tradition, a tradition it became. Your best friend brought you grape juice every year on Christmas Day to celebrate the day you’d found your mother kissing your dad dressed as Santa Claus.
Jaebum laughed when you told him about it. You’d been lying on the grass in a park near his dorm. It was past midnight and part of you was terrified that someone would try something, but Jaebum subdued your fear. “Grape juice?” He asked.
You giggled. “Grape juice. But she’s abroad this year, so no grape juice.” The disappointment hit you harder than you cared to admit but your best friend had been gone for a few months now and her absence had made you miserable. She was studying abroad so you knew you should’ve been happy for her, but you were used to having her as your partner in everything.
It was why you’d begun spending time with Jaebum. He lived down the street from you and, at first, you hadn’t known who he was. He was just some guy you met at the convenience store who you’d made laugh within the first two minutes of knowing him. He’d bought your ramen and your soda and invited you to sit with him outside while the two of you ate.
Months later and you spent every night with him. Somehow you’d reached the point where you could say anything in front of him and you knew more about him than most of his friends.
“I can buy you grape juice.” He smiled over at you.
You pouted, but your heart warmed at his offer. “It’s not the same.”
That had been over a week before Christmas and now it was Christmas Day and you were alone in your apartment. Jaebum rarely let you know the full details of his schedule, not for any particular reason, but simply because he didn’t think the details were important, so you had no idea what his plans were. You just knew he wasn’t there.
So you were shocked when, two hours into a Christmas movie you were barely paying attention to, your doorbell rang.
“Open up,” Jaebum called, a whine in his voice. When you’d first met him you’d been thrown by the constant groan in his tone, as if everything was bothersome, but you’d grown to learn that it was default. That was the sound of a man with minimal sleep in his system.
You opened up, a smile on your face to hide your embarrassment about your seasonal pajamas—complete with cute reindeer and snowflakes. “What are you doing here?”
He held up a gift bag. “We have plans.”
You gaped and took the bag from him, peering in. It was a wine bottle.
“I brought you grape juice.” His face split into a mischievous smile.
You laughed, smacking his arm then pulling him into your apartment. He was giddy, a rare emotion with Jaebum. He was often content or generally happy, but never outright excited. You took advantage of his overt happiness and got him to do activities he would normally turn down in favor of napping. First, you told him, you would decorate gingerbread men. Then you would have lunch—takeout from your favorite place—then you would watch Christmas movies and play board games.
He was surprisingly cheerful about everything, though he insisted that you drink his gift while you did everything.
Ultimately you never made it to the board games. The cookies took longer than you expected because the pre-bought cookies you’d brought from the bakery had crumbled and you had to make your own from scratch. Then while you waited for them to cool, you ate lunch and you decorated them while you watched the Christmas movies in the afternoon.
When you’d finally finished, it was nearing dark out. You showed off your cookies and he took a bite out of the head of one of them. “Jerk!” You cried out at him.
He fought off your slaps to his chest and caught your hands in his, holding you to him. You stopped, your smile softening when you realized the expression on his face shifted. Only a moment before his lips were on yours did you finally realize what was about to happen.
In the moment of the kiss, you could only think of his lips and how they were on yours and how they tasted like wine and gingerbread and how, distantly, you registered his hands on your waist and your hands in his hair. But when he pulled away and left you breathless, reeling, did your mind begin to scream at you. How had you missed that he’d liked you? Yes, he wouldn’t hang out with you if he didn’t like you, but it seemed strange that he would never say anything, never ask you out.
You told him as much. “You like me?”
He nodded. “Since I met you.”
“Oh.” The word felt inadequate, but you couldn’t think of what to say.
He smiled, a little defeated. “You don’t have to like me back.”
“No!” You cried then composed yourself. “I mean, I do. Of course I do. You just—took me by surprise.”
He didn’t give you time to compose yourself. Shortly after your kiss, Jinyoung called him to get back because they had late-night practice and he left with a small peck on your cheek.
Just after he left your phone buzzed. You answered the call, a grin already spreading on your face at the sight of your best friend’s name on the caller ID. Your friend’s voice bubbled into your ear, her perpetual cheerfulness affecting you instantly. “Merry Christmas! Did you miss me? Did you go out and buy grape juice in my honor? I’ll reimburse you.”
You laughed. “No, a friend gave me some.”
She grumbled. “Someone other than me?”
You sighed, remembering Jaebum’s lips on yours. “I have so much to tell you.”

February 19th
My first day of work!! Went in earlies and had onboarding for about two hours with amother new hire. Then i returned to my room where i met my coworker and my manager! Both of whom are in the same room and we each have a desk. (Ima have to request a standing desk :O) anywayss. Got a company laptop - thank god it’s not bulky. And then i’ve got two monitors on my desk too! #bless
Then jlw went through more ux stuff with me and i also went to a stand up meeting. Like. Those are real man. Then went to company lunch! Where new hires introduce themselves and i realize that i have never used a dishwasher before and everyone was shookt lol.
Afterwards, i went to a sprint meeting AND BOIIIII PLANNING POKER DOE??? Lololol. I have to say i did not understand a single thing that was going on. Took about an hour and a half…
Anyways. went back in where jlw continued where she left off and then finally let me read some onboarding stuff on my own before she headed out at 4 and then me, leaving swiftly at 4 as well LOL
SO that was my first day! Trying to get everything in order - i hope that everything goes great and that i learn lots and lots! :> although…windows computer already killing me, no wonder people use mouses instead of the trackpad. Also…gotta learn Axure + in depth photoshop so…WOOT WOOT
Oh and we also have a huge snack cabinet i might just become a potato
Light snowfall is so pleasant :>
Bucketlist checklist:
Eat alone - check! First lunch break :> (exciting!)
Watch a movie by myself - check! Love, Simon
Second day - drank too much coffee while i’m still weak against caffeine. It’s 1:26am. HNNNGH
i got really bored at work today because even though it’s week 2 now, i was done with my shit at like 2pm so i just started looking at axure tutorials for another however long until 4:30 LOL side note: might actually do my post-its idea thing then i realize that i didn’t bring any post-its over to portland… also i cracked my screen again today because i slammed it on the counter while trying to save it from falling so did i really save it….
bought rice and shin ramen on amazon lel
Gonna try out my post it idea in the office tomorrow. Hope it goes well 🤞
2/28/17 First ever happy hour but also goodbye party for kyle - also like the first time i talked to him since the one and a half week i been there (minus when we introduced ourselves) but sads cause he was kinda a squish and everyone seemed to have a chill time working with him :/ oh well
ALSO THE FIRST DAY THAT YA GURL GOT PAID $$$ (which is just directly going to rent - oh the woe of getting paid bi-monthly LOL)
Wow i did a great job sticking on my phone screen protector! #yes EDIT: no i didnt. It’s blocking the camera slightly on top smh
Ya gurl cut her finger on a tape measure lmfaooo
Alice came two weekends in a row to help me buy and build stuff and daymn. That was some hard work and tbh i only built a shelf and a bed LOOOOL I think ima go for the sofa + table rather than the desk. I think it might work! Also went to ashun market. Good weekend :>
I went bowling today!! It was an engineering celebration so i thought - why not, let’s be social for a little bit. And it turned out to be fun~ we had some fuds and i played two rounds. And I got a strike in one of the rounds! Woot woot. Anyways. It was enjoyable, not as awkward as i had envisioned. Also i was able to successfully catch the bus home so that was great :>
I think i’m reverting back to my eating habits because there are ENDLESS SNACKS IN THE OFFICE. Oh dear
Really actually thinking about that dicon photobook because the pictures are so nice :<
ALSO FINALLY FCKIN DISCOVERED ELECTRICITY CHARGE ON KWH DIFFERS ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS in addition to usage. Wow the things you discover and uncover as you adult
Also city of portland why do you have a base charge of $11???????
Ahhh xfinity wifi was too good to be true Apparently only 5 devices could connect to it at one time. So i guess i gotta shop for internets now…LOL EDIT: NAWP. ALL GOOD. THAT WAS FOR HOME HOTSPOT. WOOT
Lmao my manager went to ucsd when marshall was still called third im
In other news. It looks like my one on one anxiety wont dissipate soon. Esp since last week, the vp of engineering just sent me a calendar invite for a one on one and i literally got stressed out for a straight 30 min before i said yes to the invite and could slowly go back to focusing on work lol…. EDIT: it ended up being around 15 minutes and i did not really enjoy it at all
We are bulletproof pt 2 came on today while i was walking and i still cannot believe that the first lines still got me smiling like a fckin idiot
Ok so i finally talked to this girl at work (who i think is really pretty omfg) the other day and she’d been curling her hair recently and as we were walking out of the bathroom i was like I REALLY LIKE YOUR HAIR And then she said my hair is so straight and healthy - “do you straighten it? It’s really pretty” and i’m just over here crying on the inside because it looks like hay and only happened to be really straight that day for god knows what reason. SO BASICALLY THE STARS ALIGNED JUST SO WE COULD HAVE THIS CONVERSATION Also she said she recently bought a curler that just “does it for you” and gurl i need that because idk how to DO ANYTHING TO MY HAIR UGH
I woke up with the blankets already nicely proportioned off the sides of my bed - so i just crawled out without making my bed today lool
Thought i could handle watching burn the stage but i saw the screenshot of jungkook lying down and it already broke my heart Need to be secluded with some tissues ;__;
A two day trip to see The Rose in seattle or a five day trip in san diego… 🤔🤔🤔
last day of march went to lunch with my coworkers for the first time and i actually enjoyed it! it was fun :> glad that my coworker actually dropped by the office to invite us to lunch~
good friday today because:
lunch was good
really honestly did nothing because we were troubleshooting visual studio
also basically did nothing because double sprint planning and retro LOL
HEADING HOME FOR THE WEEKEND UNTIL WEDNESDAY
#gotpaid
but no joke, on the ride to the airport, i got carsick and i honestly didn’t even know that was possible but if you think about it, i basically haven’t been on any kind of transportation for at least a month… also my uber driver is like some viet gangsta or something that gets pulled into the room every time he tries to go to canada O_O LOL
Deadass trying to save money but The rose concert in seattle, want to make an sd trip, want the 2k18 asia trip But also bts comeback sometime during the first half of the year and SUDDENLY WANNA ONE IS GOING TO HAVE A WORLD TOUR??? Dammit dude DAMMIT
My heart dies a little every time my coworker comes by and invites me to lunch with everyone *ugly sobs* Dies a little in a good way - just for clarification LOL
Mom dyed my hair for me! And it was darker than i thought BUT GREAT. Curiously enough, after two washes…it’s already lightening?? NO PLEASE STAY DARK. PLEASE. EDIT: lol i realized there was another “mother dyed my hair” somewhere on top lel. just for clarification - nobody else dyes my hair including myself cause i am incapable lOL
omfg i just saw the we bare bears x spao collab AND THEN FOUND THE ADVENTURE TIME X SPAO CLOTHES, SO CUTE!!! the jake and bmo hoodie )):
didn’t realize that i missed them so much ;__; we thought we would all die with the black hair but actually they just killed us with softness good thing they didn’t come out with foreheads lOL
okay lol basically that’s it because nothing happens in my life although i realze that i video recorded a lot of experiences and they’re all just video files sitting on my phone and that’s why maybe i haven’t been writing any everyday things down :O will i ever edit them? unclear
in any case - planning lots of fun things for the months to come hopefully!
